AT NAAL CITY

Today was finally the day I will part with Derek so I can go back to my home, my family. But I didn't want to part with him as he was also part of me now, it been months now that I've been staying here in Naal city.

Yet Clarissa the queen still didn't want to accept me and her husband. Liam and his mate Veronica have always been good and kind to me. Talk about Angus, there's something about him but I can't out my finger on it. Astrid I haven't seen her for some days I wonder where she is.

Venetia, oh Venetia I just found out that why I haven't seen her was because the queen had killed her just because she's always meet me in secret so one Clarissa found out about it form her messanger in the castle.

Clarissa had killed Venetia in cold blood just because she disobeyed, I had found Venetia's lifeless body lying outside the castle one morning, her neck was twisted backwards facing the ground.

I was bitter for days cause she had always been kind to me since the first time we met at Derek's personal room.

"My love " Derek's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

" Yes " I answered.

"I was calling you but it's seems your mind is somewhere else".

" Hmm" I hummed.

" What are you thinking about" he asked me, we were walking together near the castle lake, he held my hand with our fingers entwined.

" uh nothing I just uh..." I bit my lips scratching my head.

" I'm listening".

" Ok I don't want to part with you can't you come with me" I said.

"You want me to come with you" he asked me while raising his well perfect carved brow up .

"Uh yes can't you" I said .

"My love I can go with you but ...." He paused.

" but what ?" I asked.

"I can't go with you for now " he said caressing my cheek

" But why? "

" You see I want to know what my mother is planning with Claudia as they seems to be closer than before and tonight is the ball I told you about and tonight my uncle Alan is coming so you see it's not safe for you and even Elia".

" Your uncle is attending the ball too" I asked surprised.

" Yes"

" but how did you know" I asked.

"Sweetheart I've got eyes and ears in and out of this castle that's why I know my mother is planning something evil"

" Oh but why do I need to take Elia with me, she's safe unlike me and I don't think Magnus will let her go with me"

" Sure he will, in some few days my stupid uncle is planning a war" Derek said with a frown on his face.

" A war?" I said.

" yes a war, he wants to take over our kingdom and no one knows about it just me and Magnus"

" But why will he do something like that"

" He wants power, he has been planning this for long and the fact that he exchanged his giant form for magic power is not good as he will gather enough soldiers with him controlling them so it's not safe for you and Elia here but we will meet that's a promise"

"I understand but once I learn how to control my powers I'll come back to you "

" My love I..."

" Derek please don't see me as someone weak that's why I want to be strong to stand by your side to show your mother and father that I am not that weak girl anymore " I pleaded.

Derek stared at me for a while before he finally nodded his head " alright only if you have learnt to control your powers " he said.

" Ok I promise " I said and he smiled.

We continued to stroll round the castle hand in hand and talked about many things.

"Is there a library here in the castle?" I asked.

" yes my love , do you want to see it" he said

"Yes I want to" I said excited.

" Alright come I think we've strolled enough" he said and took me back to the castle.

We climbed the stairs going to the left-wing of the castle, we got to a door that was huge and reaching the ceiling but it has two handles, one up for giants and another one down where humans like me can reach to open the door.

Derek opened the door using the lower handle as he was in his human form and we got inside. I was amazed at what I saw.

I saw ranks of books reaching the ceiling just like the door, they were arranged neatly In thier shelf. I always forget to ask Derek about if there was a library but I always forget .

"You like it" he asked me.

"I love it thank you" I said.

" It's yours now" he suddenly said.

"Thank you.... Wait? Mine" I asked to be sure I wasn't hearing things.

" Yes , it's yours now" he repeated.

" but isn't it for...."

"I know what you mean this is my personal library but it's yours now" he said.

" Really thank you so much" I said excited.

* Too bad I'll have to go soon but can I take some books with me" I asked.

" You don't need to ask me for permission my love"

" Oops I forgot but how can I reach the books at the top" I asked.

" I was actually waiting for you to ask me that, you'll jump up to reach there" .

" Jump?? " I said with my eyes wide.

"Yes "

"But I ...I can't reach up there if I jump" I said and he started laughing holding his stomach. What did I say that is funny I thought In my head.

"I'm just kidding you should see your face right now, you won't jump " he said after laughing so hard.

" Hmm " I hummed.

" since it was mine before so it was built for giants, I'll have to pull that lever there and the books will exchange itself till it get to where I want but I'll have to be in my giant form to do that" he said.

" Oh " was what I said.

" Let me show you" he said and grew tall to his giant form, he pulled the lever and the books started exchanging themselves till it got to where my hands could reach and he stopped it.

"Wow it's amazing" I said and began going through the books not realizing that Derek sat on the ground behind me watching my every move.

I saw some books which I know will be interesting to read, I selected some books. After gathering some few books I turned around to face Derek who was staring at me with his blue beautiful eyes.

"Why you staring at me like that" I said blushing.

" Can't I stare at my love again" he said pouting his lips for the very first time and he look so cute.

" I didn't say that " my cheeks were red now.

" Come here " he said, he was still sitting on the ground in his giant form.

"when I got close to him, he pulled me for a hug and I hugged him back.

" I'm going to miss you my love " he said as he buried his face on my neck, I could feel his hot breath.

" I'll miss you too Derek" I said.

We stayed like that for long that we didn't know it was a bit dark now.

"I like your hair " I said as I've been touching it since while hugging him.

" I love yours too" he said.

" I love the way it's thick and long" I said touching it when I felt him tickle me.

"Haha stop it" I said.

"You're tickling me too" he said.

" No I didn't haha stop it will you" he tickled me again and stopped.

" I love you" he said and he caressed my cheek lightly with his eyes fixed to mine.

"I love you too " I said and he smiled.

" Mine " he said.

" You're mine too " I said.

"Don't you think you're forgetting something" he said.

"Uh no what did I forget"

" Come closer let me tell me" he said and I leaned forward to hear what he wanted to say when he whispered to my ear softly.

"You didn't kiss me ".

I pulled back and look at me , I could he be so shameless. I could feel heat rising to my cheeks, I was blushing.

"Don't tell me you're shy we've done it before" he said.

" I'm not shy " I said when I'm not even looking at his face. He used his index finger to lift my face up so I look at him.

"Can I kiss you ?" He asked me.

"Yes " I replied when my gaze moved to his parted thin red lips.

And then he pulled me close to his body with his arms wrapped around my waist and one hand on my face. My hands were on his neck as he was sitting on the marble floor.

And then I felt his cold lips on mine, he took my lower lips and sucked on it. He pulled me closer as he increase his pace, he used his tongue to part my lips and searched my tongue.

Our tongue met and played tags, I could feel his hand caressing my back and it move my neck and to my collar bone and then my cheek again.

He suddenly stopped the kiss as we both panting as though we just ran from a long distance trying to catch our breath.

"I'm sorry if I continue I'll do more than this" he said.

"I understand" I said.

" I think it's time for you to go now, the time is almost near" .

" Yes, you're right".

It was really hard separating Elia from Magnus , as the giant didn't want to let go of his mate, he had said.

"I can protect her"

" Stop acting like a mother and let her go it's for her own safety" Derek had said.

" Oh now I'm acting like a mother but ..."

" No but mag" I said.

" You don't shorten my name " Derek said pouting his lips again.

" cause your name cannot be shorten" Magnus had said.

"So you're happy she's calling you Mag" Derek said one could hear jealousy in his voice.

"Yes of course I'm ha....."

"Alright enough can we go now" Elia said tired of the two giants acting like kids.

" Sweetheart you want to leave me" Magnus said Elia.

" You know I'm not leaving you, you said it yourself that it's for my safety and I really want to see Aria's home too" Elia said.

" Hmmm alright just a few days I'll come get you back" Magnus said sturbbornly and Elia could only sigh.

"Stay safe my love" Derek said.

"I will" I replied.

" Both of you " he added.

It was finally time for us to leave and just then I realized I didn't know how to even go to my home except with the help of Ari my half.

Aish why didn't I think about it in the first place.

" what's wrong my love " I heard Derek's voice.

" I forget that I need my other half to go back home, I never thought of that" I said slapping my forehead.

" But you can call her right" Magnus said.

"Uh maybe I don't know but let me try" I answered.

I then focused on my mind " Ari " I called her but no response.

"Can you hear me" I said again.

" yes I can hear you " she suddenly said out loud in my ears.

" Ahh you don't have to talk so loud" I heard my ears.

" Are you alright" Derek rushed my side and held my shoulders.

"I'm fine, I'm fine".

"So you finally remembered me huh" she sounds pissed off.

" I'm sorry okay" I said.

" hmm " she hummed.

"I'm sorry" I apologized again.

"Haha I'm just kidding" she said laughing.

" You're something else you know I want to go home"I said not beating around the bush.

" Oh really let's go "

" That's the problem I don't know how" I said.

" Oh just stretch your hands out and think about a door".

" how will that work " I said frowning.

" Shh just do as I say " she said and it's funny how I'm the only one hearing her.

I did as she instructed and stretched out my hands and immediately a door appeared, the same light blue transperant door of last time.

"Good now go in "

" Alright it's time Elia" I said and held her hand. I glanced back at Derek and Magnus who was wiping invisible tears away from his face.

" take care both of you " he said and we both nodded our heads before we finally passed through the door and just like that we're gone.

The door disappeared like it was not there in the first place.

"So we're back to the way we were before we met our mates huh" Magnus said.

" Just shut up" Derek said and left the room for Magnus.
