The next day we came to the shore of a vast lake. It was a beautiful summer day, with the sky above clear and cloudless and the water below sparkling in the mid-afternoon sun. I had spent the day with confused anger once again boiling in me, so I wasn’t exactly in the mood to enjoy the sunshine.
