Chapter 2

Lance’s POV

“You better start speaking or I will keep that mouth of yours shut for good.”

I held the hot iron rod closer to his face and hovered it above his mouth. His eyes widened in fear. Exactly what I wanted.

“So what’s it going to be? Answer or your precious mouth will burn?”

He shook his head violently “I’ll talk! I’ll say anything you what!”

“Speak. You know what I want.”

“O-our s-system has been f-fiddled with! So even if you wanted information, you wouldn’t get it.”

“Boss!” Xander came in the underground cell we were in running. I nodded from him to continue.

“Our system was hacked!” He released heavy breaths from running.

“WHAT!?” I turned his way. “How could this happen? Where is Chase?”

“He is in the hospital since the last attack, he got injured.”

“What about our entire cyber division?!”

“It was too advanced for them, the only person that would’ve prevented it was Caleb!”

“YOU i***t! I told you not to tell him, there’s more information!” Nash voice echoed through the underground cell vaults.

He started panting when he reached us and spoke after he caught his breath. ”They hacked us but they hacked the Ultores as well! They leaked all of their information to us.”

“Find out who this person was and bring them to me.”

“That’s the problem. They erased any tracks of them, they hacked in as an incognito server, and we couldn’t even find any traces of them.” Xander explained.

“I don’t care how long it takes! YOU WILL FIND THEM.” I tuned to the captured member of the Ultores.

“You know what? Your moth has been bothering me.” He screamed as I placed the burning metal rod on his lips.

I turned to Aidan. “Finish the job.”

I left the room to get ready for my flight to NTC in 3 hours.

Aliza’s POV

I fell asleep in Nika’s arms while she tried to sooth me.

I just put myself in something much bigger than me or anyone for that matter.

When I woke up the first thing I did was put a complete barrier for my laptop or any source that may lead them to me. This only works if they are not in my radius, which is NYC. I know I’m safe since the Imperium Empire is in Sicily, Italy.

“I have to tell you something.” Jaxon spoke up.

“Yeah babe… What is it?” Nika asked him softly.

“I never told you which g**g I’m in, because I was scared you would leave me if you knew. Now that this happened.” He pointed at his laptop. “I have to tell you.”

“Jaxon, what do you want to say? You know that I love you, your g**g won’t change that. I promised you I would stick by your side.” She smiled sadly.

He breathed in and out. “I’m in the Imperium Empire, I’m part of it. Meaning they won’t only came for you Ali, but me too.”

I just got the only family I have left in the mess I created.

I shook my head, wiped my tears and gathered all the strength and courage I have.

“No. We won’t let them get to us. I can’t let it happen, it was my fault, so I’m going to fix it. I wiped all the trace that may lead them here.”

“Well then, all we can do is wait.” Jaxon sighed.

24 hours later

Lance’s POV

We landed in NYC last night and attended a meeting with the Vipers, the mafia that controls NYC.

It took us 5 hours to finish the meeting and when we did, we went to my mafia’s estate and stayed the night. Only Xander, Nash, Aidan and I traveled to NYC. Nash was trying to track the hacker but with no use.

“I FOUND THEM!” He screamed startling all of us.

“Who?” Aidan asked.

“The asshole that hacked into our system.”

“Track their location and let’s kill that son of a bitch.”

We track the hacker from their IP address that took us ages to find. Well, took Nash and the cyber division ages to find. I just sat back and observed.

It lead us to a poor neighborhood in Staten Island, to a small house. We reached that location with 20 of my soldiers. We broke down the door and threw a smoke bomb inside, which made all the 3 figures that were in the house to drop unconscious on the floor after inhaling the smoke.

“Grab them and put them in the van.”

“Boss, there’s 2 girls and 1 guy. He’s part of our gang.” He said confused.

“My orders are clear.”

“Yes Boss.” They continued following my orders.

Once they were put in the van we drove off back to estate.

20 minutes in the ride and Nash connects his car’s speaker device to ours allowing us to speak through the radio system.

“Boss, one of them woke up and is throwing a tantrum.” He said while voices in the background where mumbling.

“Inject her with some zolpidem tartrate.”

The last thing I heard before I cut off the connection was. “It was an accident, I promise!”

Aliza’s POV

We were sitting down on the couch when we heard a bang on the door and all 3 of us stood up startled. The door suddenly collapsed on the floor and before we could process what was happening, the room was filled with gas.

I started coughing and my vision blurred.

I felt the ground under moving and I heard voices around me. I opened my eyes slowly and realized that Nika, Jaxon and I were in the back of a moving van.

I sat up straight and tried moving my limbs, but my hands and ankles were tied. I started trashing around trying to wake up Jaxon and Nika who were unconscious.

I started kicking the walls to draw attention to us. I had a feeling I knew who our captors were.

“I’m going to call the boss, you deal with him.” I heard a deep voice speak from the front seats. Suddenly, a bald dude jumped to the back of the van from the passenger seat and came closer to me.

“Get away from me you knock off vin diesel!” I screamed at him.

“If you don’t stop I’m going to have to kill you.” he warned making me freeze from fear.

“You don’t understand!”

The other dude handed him a syringe and he came closer to me.

“NO NO!” He injected it into my arm while I continued trashing around.

I felt so tired. It was like I haven’t slept in a decade.

The last thing I managed to blurt out was. “It was an accident, I promise!”

“Ali.” My eyes started fluttering open.

“Ali wake up.”

My eyes opened completely when I didn’t feel tired anymore.

I opened them to see that I was tied to a chair with tight ropes. I was in a dark room with metal bars caging us in. It was a literal prison cell.

“Ali!” I heard Nika’s voice.

I turned to my right to see her in the same position I was in. All I could feel was guilt and pain. She has nothing to do with this. I got her into this mess. I should’ve listened to her.

I saw tears streaming down to her face. To her right I saw Jaxon still knocked out.

“Your boyfriend is still knocked out?” I asked confused.

She laughed sadly. “He woke up and he chose to take a nap.”

Even more tears streamed down my face but I wiped them my shoulder.

“I’m sorry.” I whispered.

We heard heavy footsteps coming from outside the cells.

Nika tried to shake Jaxon awake while she had a frightened look on her face. He woke up and heard the footsteps too. He tried to comfort her when the cells gate was unlocked by an unknown figure. There was no light in the cell, the only lamp was right above us so we couldn’t see them.

“Who do we have here? The little hacker and his 2 sidekicks.” The figure chuckled with no humor.

I was about to retort when another figure came in, then 2 more. In total there was 4 Figures standing. Men in all black clothes.

“This? Is what hacked us?” One of them said with a hint of disgust.

“Disappointing.”

We all turned to the source of the voice, it was the man that entered last. His voice was the deepest. You can feel the power radiating off of him.

I shivered in fear. My heart dropped to my stomach when he started moving towards us.

“Care to explain?” He said in a tone that can make anyone wish they were nonexistent.

None of us answered.

He scoffed. “That’s what I thought.”

“Take from them all the information we need, make sure you make him pay for hacking us and betrayed our mafia.” He pointed at Jaxon.

I put all the puzzle pieces together.

They think Jaxon betrayed their mafia and hacked into their private system. He was going to die because of me.

“No!” He stopped in his tracks.

‘I was the one that hacked into it! I used his laptop and found the website and thought it was an online store in beef with some other online store.” He turned around to face me.

“I didn’t mean to though, it was an accident, I didn’t know it was mafia business.” He slowly stepped closer to me.

“Nika and Jaxon have nothing to do with this! And Jaxon most definitely didn’t betray you.” They all looked at me in shock.

“Call Chase.” The disappointed man ordered.

“Take those 2 to another cell. Let’s give this one a warm welcome.” He said pointing at me.

Before I could even speak they took Nika and Jaxon outside of the cell against their protests and screams.

Suddenly I felt a blow to my stomach knocking the air out of my lungs.

I groaned in pain and hot tears started stinging my eyes.

I felt a fist punch at my jaw. A few more punches, kicks and slaps were thrown my way when the door creaked open but the man beating me up never stopped.

“Stop.” The same dark and powerful voice said.

He came closer to me and I looked down in fear. “Look at me when I’m speaking to you.”

I hesitantly looked up. “What’s your full name?” He asked.

“Aliza Ace Amherst.”

He turned around and left the room and the same fist connected with my jaw once more.
