Chapter One

"It's getting late, and I need to head home now. Besides, it's the weekend and I need to rest,” Richard said. “My house is far from here. Can I stay at your place at least until tomorrow morning?” Emma replied. However, Emma's true intention was to seduce Richard on getting home.

Richard reluctantly agreed, saying, “Okay let's go.” Upon arriving at Richard's apartment,he showed Emma the guest room where she would be staying. He then went to his bathroom to shower and settled on his bed.

Meanwhile,Emma,who planned to seduce,took a shower in the guest room. After some time when Richard had dozed off,she knocked on his door. Surprised,Richard asked what the matter was. To his shock,Emma was completely nude.

“Why are you naked,Emma? I showed you where to get something to wear after you showered,”Richard reminded her. Undeterred,Emma approached the bed, suggesting they seized the moment. Richard, feeling conflicted,reminded her of his upcoming marriage to Joyce,and Emma dismissed it as a one-time affair.

She initiated passionate kisses, and Richard,unable to resist, succumbed to the temptation. Meanwhile, Joyce,after finishing work,went to a restaurant to get Richard his favorite meal to surprise him and make him happy.

Joyce then drove to Richard's apartment unannounced. She used the password to enter and went straight to the kitchen to leave the food she bought. As she approached the bedroom,she heard moaning sounds, initially hesitant to believe what she was hearing.

Slowly opening the door, she was devastated to witness Richard and Emma engaged in passionate intimacy, unaware of her presence. Tears welled up in her eyes as she confronted Richard, questioning his betrayal just a few weeks before their wedding, especially with her secretary.

Richard, overwhelmed with guilt, apologized,blaming the seduction. Unwilling to listen,Joyce declared she couldn't marry him anymore, calling him a cheat. She then turned to Emma, firing her on the spot and instructing her to never return to the company. Emma was speechless, by Joyce's words.

Angered and heartbroken, Joyce left the apartment, driving home in tears throughout the journey and still can't believe that Richard cheated on her.

However, Richard,consumed by remorse, left Emma in his bedroom and retreated to his living room, where he sobbed uncontrollably over his lost marriage. He berated himself for allowing Emma's seduction to cloud his judgment and ruin his impending wedding.

Unable to ask Emma to leave due to the late hour, Richard instructed her to stay in the guest room overnight and leave first thing in the morning. Emma attempted to console him,but Richard was too distraught over the consequences of his actions.

However,Emma,spoke up saying “Everything will be alright ,” as she consoles Richard who was crying uncontrollably. “How dare you Emma? I warned you earlier about this,but you swayed me into doing it. Now see where it has landed me. My marriage is over.” Richard replied to Emma angrily.

“I didn't remember forcing you, Richard. You choose to take advantage of the opportunity,irrespective of you getting married to Joyce in a few weeks time. So why are you putting the blame on me?” Emma said to Richard defensively.

Emma continued yelling “Besides why do you want to get married to her, when you know she's domineering? Let me guess,is it because she's wealthy and takes care of some of your bills? Tell me Richard, what exactly is the reason?”

Richard was speechless and confused as well. Emma said “ Honestly,I have hated her for a long time,” Raising his head,Richard replied”Why do you hate Joyce?” Emma looking at Richard's eyes responded, “She is so domineering and got everything good in life,but me I have nothing.”

However, Richard was surprised hearing Emma's words and asked her if that was why she seduced him and she said yes, saying that Joyce doesn't deserve him because he's a good man and doesn't need to be controlled by a woman like Joyce.

“Look straight into my eyes and tell me I'm lying about all these I just said?” Emma inquired from Richard. Richard couldn't say a word but just stood up and left.

The next day, Joyce called her Mom,Mrs. Quinn, and told her she was going to visit her because she had something very important to discuss with her. Her mom inquired if everything was okay, but Joyce insisted she waited for her to come over.

Joyce drove to see her mom in her family house. The apartment is a luxury Five story building, well structured with beautiful flowers well decorated in the surroundings. The sitting room is well furnished with expensive cushions designed with gold,glass tables.It's a luxury sitting room.

However, Joyce entered the sitting room, where her mom had been seated waiting for her. They exchanged pleasantries and Mrs. Quinn,asked Joyce what the problem was and Joyce said “ Mom,I just called off my wedding with Richard.”

“What? How could you, and why?” Mrs. Quinn inquired from Joyce. Joyce explained the entire scenario to her mom. How she went to Richard's apartment unannounced, with the intention of making peace with him, after they had a little misunderstanding in the office.

Tears welled up in her eyes as Joyce continued her tale. “ On getting to Richard's apartment, Mom. I saw Richard and Emma having s****l intimacy so passionately, that they didn't notice my presence” The tears in Joyce's eyes finally fell from her eyes.

“What? You mean you saw Richard and Emma, your secretary,having s*x in Richard's apartment?” Mrs. Quinn asked, as she stood up from where she was sitting because she was surprised.

Joyce,who was sniffing,just nodded in agreement. “ I can't believe that brat betrayed my angel. You know what,I will pay him a visit right away. I need to find out if my expensive jewel is not enough for him. How dare he hurt my beautiful daughter?” Mrs. Quinn said, as she had the intention of paying Richard an unannounced visit.
