Vinnie felt like she'd been struck by lightning.
Before she could process it, a jolt of electricity surged through her body, and everything went black.
The external defibrillator shocked her, making her body convulse.
"Keep going," Jason commanded. He checked Vinnie's breathing, and it was very weak. "Get the oxygen mask on her."
"Got it!"
A transparent oxygen mask was placed over Vinnie's nose and mouth, and the nurse started the oxygen flow, monitoring the ECG at the same time.
Another shock, and Vinnie's body jerked, her eyes snapping open.
"Good, stop for now." Jason watched Vinnie's eyes, moving a finger from left to right slowly. Vinnie's gaze followed the finger, and she blinked.
"Excellent. Check her vitals and keep monitoring." Jason noted the details in his medical chart.
