When you became an Avenger the exsisting Avengers became your family. Everyone was protective over you, Thor more than anyone. He saw you as a little sister. Being around the same age as the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man meant that Peter was practically attached to your hip. Everywhere you went Peter was there. "Can I ask you something?" Peter said.
