Jenna checked over the Defender’s status one more time, then sent the commands to activate the Tagrale. As she did she worried again about the equipment she was leaving behind in the Tagrale’s control room. She had enough on board that she wouldn’t run out soon, but it was finite. Eventually she’d need to improvise some more, somehow, or risk being stranded and unable to activate any nearby Tagrale.
Then the Tagrale’s gateway was forming and her worries were swept away as the amazing spectacle unravelled before her eyes. The huge purple arcs of power flowed between the sides of the Tagrale and combined to form the slowly spinning disk. Then came the blinding flash as the disk expanded to fill most of the space within the Tagrale and turned dark.
