The first thing she did was to use the suit to slow down. She’d left the Defender at speed so slowing took a lot of the suit’s fuel stores. She didn’t run it dry, she’d need what remained soon enough.
Then she tried to use her datapad to control the ship, but the signal was already weak and patchy. Three times she tried to get the ship moving closer, and three times the connection broke before the command could go through.
She started to worry, then forced herself to take a deep breath. Everything had happened too fast and now she was making mistakes. All she had to do was patch her datapad into the suit’s much stronger signal and… yes. She had control again.
