Ivy and Sawyer were pouring over the proposal for the extension late into the evening that Monday night. A very prominent socialite wanted to meet with them the next day, and they wanted to make sure they had missed nothing.
Mrs. Margaret McNair, the daughter of Alabama Senator John Henderson and married to an Alabama District Judge, was born and raised in Sparrows Ridge. When she wasn’t a philanthropist in third-world countries, she enjoyed contributing to her hometown.
Ivy had reached out to her several months ago and was surprised to get a call from her office requesting a meeting, and that meeting was to take place the following day, at the library.
