Carrie was more than accommodating to Ivy and Apollo. Though Apollo had to spend a lot of time in the back bedroom; Carrie’s apartment was small, and she was allergic to dogs. “I’m so sorry,” Ivy said when Carrie had another sneeze attack. “Let me take him for a walk.” Carrie lived a block from the library.
