I almost didn't make it.

I swung the door open to reveal a bloodied Carlos, the bastard that tried to steal Willa the first time I laid eyes on her. He wanted her, and I knew he did. I saw the possessive look in his eyes, but the past month I heard nothing of his whereabouts. Carlos was supposed to be on Earth, back in his home pack, but he escaped.
