  I ran.   I barely made it out of that parking garage alive.   My keys had become weapons, slicing through the air as I broke free from Vanessa's circling wolves. My car's tires screamed against concrete as I floored it, Vanessa's ice-blue eyes burning in my rearview mirror like twin flames of rage.   The drive home was a blur of adrenaline and terror.
