She’s f*****g perfect. We always knew we’d get Harper. She was made for us, literally. The Kings of Night choose the tributes for us from a young age. They go for the ones who don’t come from much, kinda f****d up if you ask me. That way they’re more vulnerable, and will most likely do anything for a better life. Ever since Nathan and I were kids we knew she was for us. We’ve shared everything our entire life, so why wouldn’t we share a queen? I mean f**k he was the only one there for me every time my father would beat the f**k out of me. My father taught me from an early age, that crying gets you smacked in the face until you stop crying. I spilled my drink at the dinner table once when I was five and he locked me in a closet for a day. I clawed at the door until my finger nails fell off. Anytime my grades weren’t up to his standards, he’d chain me up in the basement and quiz me about the subjects. Every time I got an answer wrong he’d punch me in the face until I got it right. It wasn’t until I was 17, when I got the courage to hit him back. He tried to overpower me, but 17 years of rage can be pretty f*****g dangerous. I beat him to an inch of his life and went to Nathan’s house. I walked in with bloody clothes, hands, face, f**k it was everywhere and he just got up and hugged me. “I’m proud of you.” He whispered to me. He knew I’d finally stood up to that piece of s**t. Nathan was my brother, blood or not. He understood the struggles I went through, and I understood his. We’d been training our whole lives to be kings. The tribulations were so f*****g brutal, and we did s**t I’d never tell another f*****g soul. But I can tell him. Now we get to be with our fireball Harper. She doesn’t know it yet, but we’re all married now. And f**k when she finds out. She’s going to be pissed. The thought of her huffing and puffing, screaming at us makes my c**k twitch. I can’t wait to make her beg for me.
