TERESA "How am I supposed to rule anything without a damn wolf?" That particular voice jolted me out of sleep. I didn’t open my eyes right away. My body was still aching like it had been dragged across hot gravel. Every muscle in my body felt so tender and my head pounded heavily. My mouth was dry again but it was not just the physical pain that weighed me down. It was the sound of Keller’s voice. He didn’t know I was awake just yet. His voice was low like he was almost whispering to himself. “My wolf is gone,” he muttered. “ It's gone! It just vanished like he was never there. Now, I can’t shift.
