KELLER "You are not sleeping, are you?" I was asked and I didn’t turn right away. Gretta was still here while I wished she bore some of my burdens. All of these were too much for me to carry. My eyes were fixed on the sky, on the restless clouds drifting across the moon. I had a lot of things that I was thinking about and none of these were helping. My arms rested on my knees, fingers digging into the fabric of my pants. My chest was heavy and my head was louder than the howling silence around me. "Do I look like I’m sleeping?" I muttered.
