When I reached Thea's desk, she was talking to a guy. He stood beside her with a small smile on his face while she explained something to him.
The strange part wasn't that they were talking.
It was the way he looked at her.
His eyes stayed on her for a second longer than they should have, and there was something in them that I couldn't really understand. It wasn't just a normal look.
Before I could think more about it, her cheerful voice pulled me back.
"Hey, Liana!" Her face lit up the moment she saw me.
I smiled without thinking and hurried over to her. "Thea!"
The moment I reached her, I wrapped my arms around her, and she laughed as she hugged me back.
