Rafael smiled and said, “The relations between the two of our companies.”

Evelyn furrowed her brows, she could tell that this guy was teasing her. However, she could not complain about it, at least not before the people in the room. Kelly and Mikhail were still watching things in a daze.

Evelyn raised her chin and asked, “Why should we agree to work with you?”

Rafael replied, “Because this morning, I bought out the forty percent stake in your company. After your father’s fifty percent, I am the largest shareholder. Even you, Miss Stark, own only ten percent.”

Evelyn opened her eyes wide and the other people were shivering too. Although the Stark venture company was not highly valued in the eyes of many people, it was still evaluated to be around a hundred million. Rafael chuckled softly and remarked, “Do not be so shocked. I can still afford this much money to make a dream come true.”

As he spoke, his eyes were locked on Evelyn, whose heart was beating like a race car engine. The girl’s face flushed a bit, she looked away from Rafael’s face. The young man was gazing at her so intensely that she could not help but recall the things they had done last night.

Mikhail saw this and his blood boiled. He yelled, “How dare you flirt with my fiancé before me? You bastard!”

As soon as he said that, Mikhail charged at Rafael. Everyone was shocked, they did not expect Mikhail to act in such a manner. However, the to-be victim, Rafael, only leaned back on the couch and crossed his legs. He did not worry about the man rushing at him, but said, “Sebas! Throw out the trash after processing.”

Mikhail was enraged even more by the fact that an old man was trying to stop him from beating up that white face. He punched Sebas, and just when Evelyn and Marcus thought that the old man would be injured. Sebas raised his hand and held the fist a few inches away from his face. Then he took half a step forward and his fist dug right into Mikhail’s abdomen.

One punch was enough to knock out all the air from Mikhail’s body and the pain was so strong that he even wet his pants. Sebas flung his hand away and took a step back. He looked at Marcus and said, “I apologize, Mr. Stark, I did not know that this person was so weak.”

Everyone could fathom what was going on. Rafael sighed and said dismissively, “This smell is displeasing, Sebas, deal with him thoroughly.”

Sebas nodded and held the groaning Mikhail by the back of his neck before dragging him out of the living room. Marcus looked at a maid in his house, and said, “What are you looking at Doris, clean this up, and dispose of the mop later. Please ask someone to serve refreshments.”

Marcus sat down, ignoring Kelly, still standing a few feet away in a daze. He could understand that the girl was still trying to process what just happened. After all, he was doing the same. The only thing that favored him over Kelly was the years of experience he had earned in the business world.

The two people sat across from each other, and Rafael suddenly said, “Miss Stark, I apologize if I have acted out of line and had Sebas beat up your fiancé a bit too rashly.”

Evelyn noticed that his tone was not as soft as before and neither was he looking at her. She did not know why, but she felt a bit wrong. She wanted to say something before Marcus said, “I should thank you for beating him up like that, President Monarc. That bastard cheated on my daughter, and just before your arrival, we broke off ties with him.”

Rafael pretended to be surprised, he already knew what was going on. Then he put up a solemn face and said, “I do not understand what goes on inside the brain of these shallow creatures. How can someone cheat on such a beautiful lady? Such a shame!”

His voice softened again as he reached the end of his sentence. Evelyn screamed in her mind, ‘f**k, why does he sound so good? I almost rushed to kiss him.’

Rafael’s voice was like a feather that caressed the depth of her soul. It made her tremble and shiver after realizing the impact he had on her. She had been dating Mikhail for five years, and never once did she sense those so-called butterflies in her stomach.

Kelly was watching all this from the sideline and her fists were clenched pale. She was grinding her teeth as she watched the two people flirting before Marcus. She cursed the old man for being too blind. From her point of view, it was Evelyn who was seducing Rafael, while the reality was the complete opposite.

A servant bought a tea set and was about to serve it when Marcus said, “Joel, go and invite Mister Sebas inside, Evelyn will serve the tea. Also, have the guards throw Mikhail out of the villa complex. If he ever sets a foot here, have him arrested.”

Joel nodded and rushed out quickly. Evelyn made two cups of tea, and handed one to her father, while she bought the second one for Rafael. The distance between the two of them was not too much, and Rafael could smell the faint aroma of fruitiness wafting off Evelyn’s fair skin.

He could not help himself and whispered, “You look beautiful in this attire.”

Evelyn blushed a bit and wanted to say thank you when Rafael whispered, “But no attire could match the raw beauty you displayed last night.”

The voice was so quiet that only the two of them could hear, but the second compliment made Evelyn’s face flush as if she were a ripe tomato, and her eyes stared daggers at the man before her. She could not understand that not only would this guy flirt with her, but he even dared to mention the shameful events in front of her father.

She quickly put distance between them, Rafael smirked, looking at her. However, suddenly his phone rang, and after he checked the details of the caller, his expression turned cold. Evelyn was shocked, but then Rafael seemed to have changed completely.

The young man listened to the caller for a few minutes before he stood up and said, “President Stark, I apologize that I have to leave right now, something urgent came up. I hope you can contact us at the Crescent Moon as soon as possible.”

Marcus nodded, and Rafael took the initiative to shake hands with him. Then he turned to nod at Evelyn and turned around to walk out of the house. Kelly saw him coming closer to her, and her face turned pink. She took a step forward and said, “Hello, Miste…”

The next moment, a clap echoed in the room. Rafael had slapped her with the back of his hand and the impact had sent her to the side, with a clear palm printed on her fair cheek. The young man gazed at her with disdain and took out his handkerchief to clean his hand as if he had touched scum.

He looked at Joel who had just come in with Sebas and said, “Please burn this cloth lest some germs contaminate the place.”

Joel did not know what this was about, but looking at Evelyn and nodding, he took the handkerchief. Rafael walked ahead and Sebas followed him without a question. Marcus nudged his daughter and said, “Go, see the guest out. Why are you in a daze?”

Evelyn woke up and rushed after Rafael. She caught up with him when he was already standing next to his car. Rafael turned around to look at her, and a gentle smile surfaced on his diamond-cut face. Evelyn had rushed over sprinting and her breath was all over the place.

Rafael waved at Sebas and the old man went to sit in the passenger seat first. He asked, “What do you want to ask?”

Evelyn was surprised to think that this guy knew that she wanted to ask something. She asked, “Why did you come here?”

Rafael chuckled and replied, “What else could interest me other than you, My Queen?”

His voice was so deep and soft that Evelyn was entranced. She gulped and said, “It was just a fleeting night. We cannot be together, Mister Mona..”

Before she could refuse him, she sensed his cold lips covering hers. She panicked and tried to break away, but a strong arm was coiled around her waist. She was dazed when she heard a calm voice in her ears, “It does not matter what you think, but now you are mine. I will not stop until I have your heart, Eve.”

Evelyn’s heart trembled, this sounded more like a threat than a confession. However, when she shook off the daze, the black car was already turning around the corner in the distance, and she could feel a pair of eyes locked on her. She shivered and turned around to go back inside the house, but found Kelly looking at her with blood-red eyes.

Evelyn sighed and thought, ‘f**k, he said all that deliberately. Now I have to deal with this mess.’
