The intangible scent of handcrafted stationery was supplemented by the gleaming reflection of a spray of gold fountain pens stationed beneath the glass counter. Stamped leather diaries, correspondence cards, and premium paper in shades of Nile blue and cream wove, rested on shelves beside an eclectic stock of Japanese brands.
