The Blood Moon Pack

**Ryker's PoV**

Lizzy sighed happily as she started packing. She had met her mate and is now to leave her very own pack in a few days. I was sitting on her bed staring at her lovingly.

"Lizzy.. I assume you have a few questions for me since this is the first time we met?"

She nodded some.

"Why yes, Alpha Ryker." I smiled.

"For you little Luna, call me Ryker. No need to call me Alpha since we are equals."

Lizzy smiled softly at me as I could assume her wolf purred in her head.

"Sorry. Ryker. I was just wanting to get to know you some."

I chuckled a little.

Werewolves know they could meet a mate they didn't know but it was always good to get to know them.

"Ask anything you would like. I am an open book to you, my Luna."

"Well, for starters, what is your favorite color?"

I smiled as she started questioning me.

"As it just so happens to be the very shade of your eyes."

Lizzy giggled softly as there was a knock on the door.

"Excuse me Ryker."

She walked over to the door and opened it a little. An unknown man stood on the other side of the door. My wolf growled as I began to listen in.

"Lizzy..."

"Ryan.."

"Congratulations on finding your mate."

I could see Lizzy smile a bit.

"Any luck on yours?"

"No..."

The man, Ryan said.

"Would you like to meet him?"

I sat up a bit on the bed as Lizzy was talking with an unknown male voice. I could see his shadow as Ryan shook his head.

"It probably wouldn't be best..."

Lizzy sighed a little feeling a little defeated as I could feel her emotions myself.

"I just wanted to tell you congrats and goodbye..."

I saw her look down.

" Ryan... for what it's worth.. I'm sorry..."

Ryan rubbed the back of his neck.

"No need for that... It's my fault.. I should not have said what I did. It was selfish..."

Lizzy smiled some at the man, making me uncomfortably jealous.

"Please meet him. Maybe you can come with us and find your mate there.."

Ryan sighed again but he finally agreed. She opened the door to let him in and I growled softly but stopped myself, I could tell she cared a big deal about this man. His scent was very familiar and all over my mate.

"Ryker. I want you to meet my very best friend. Ryan." Lizzy smiled excitedly as she introduced him to me. "Ryan, this is my mate, Alpha Ryker, of the Blood Moon pack."

Ryan narrowed his eyes a bit as he recognized my name. My worst nightmare.

"I actually know him."

Ryan mentioned quickly before anyone could say anything.

"Just finally glad to put a face to the name."

Lizzy looked at me, confused.

"Ah. My reputation has preceded me."

Ryan nodded.

"Not the best among some of the Alphas in my opinion."

Lizzy growled a bit at Ryan.

"What does that mean?"

She stepped between Ryan and I and crossed her arms.

"Someone explain to me what is going on?"

"Well, little Luna, since you wanted to get to know me. I guess also knowing my past is part of that."

Ryan growled a bit.

"He is very notorious for screwing around with other alpha's Lunas. "

Lizzy gasped a bit, scared. I shook my head.

"Get the full story first, please little Luna. I do not just screw around with them. They have heard of my special... Appetite in the bedroom and came to me. I never crossed any boundaries. The Alpha's even paid me to do what they asked. As they were too busy or too stressed to perform in the bedroom."

Ryan looked at me, stunned.

"So you did do all that..."

I nodded.

"They paid me and got mad because their mates enjoyed it. Mostly enjoyed the pain it caused them..." Ryan and Lizzy looked at each other and then back at me confused.

"They enjoyed causing their mate pain?"

Ryan questioned me. I watched Lizzy nervously backed up away from me.

"D-do you like causing your mate pain?"

I was hurt by Lizzy's words.

"Little one... I would never hurt you... And I stopped doing that years ago... I would never hurt you like that...Feeling your other half cheat could mean certain death... I would NEVER dream of doing that...."

Ryan growled defensively at me.

"But you were okay with others doing it?!"

He looked over at Lizzy, who shook her head.

"You never stopped them... You never stopped to think about their other half... What makes you think that we think you wouldn't do that?!"

I growled, impatient with the conversation.

"As I said before... I changed. I realized what I was doing and decided to stop. I am sure I have made a few enemies on the way, but I will talk with them when it comes down to it. Now I understand you are Lizzy's best friend, and to earn the trust of my mate I would need yours too... As if I couldn't tell that your scent is all over her and this room. Come with us to the Blood Moon pack and I will personally show and explain to you both why they came to me. It is very hard to point into words..."

Lizzy nervously nodded as her and Ryan looked at each other, I don't really care for this man.

"Okay fine... But I will promise you this. I don't care if you are an alpha or not. If you so much as hurt Lizzy in the smallest way possible... I will come for you... She deserves the world. Even if I am not the one to show her..."

He growled at me as he looked down and left. Lizzy looked up at me, I adjusted the collar on my shirt.

"I do apologize for this. That is not how I wanted you to find out. But I do recall some upset growling at the party.."

I looked down.

"I promise you Lizzy, with every breath I take, I will NEVER hurt you... I will tell you, for a while I didn't think I needed a mate. I was content with a fling or two... But I realized I needed my better half and changed to become a better man. I have almost mended all the broken relationships caused by this mess... I know we just met, but please let the Moon Goddess's bond help you believe me."

Lizzy looked down a bit. She had only just met me and was worried for obvious reasons.. But deep in her heart she needed to trust me.

"Okay..."

She said quietly as she walked back over and continued packing in silence.

A few days have passed since the altercation with Lizzy, Ryan and I. Lizzy's father, Alpha Doug, had just placed the last of her things into my SUV as Ryan brought out his stuff.

"Lizzy. I am so happy for you.."

Her mother smiled softly as she hugged her.

"I am glad you will have at least one familiar face with you in the Blood Moon pack."

Her father said cheerfully.

Nobody mentioned anything to her parents to try and save face and keep them from protesting about her leaving. Lizzy was also sure they had not heard it from anyone else as they never mentioned it to her when they found out I was her mate she told me. We piled into the SUV and began our trip. It remained silent for a brief moment until Ryan spoke up.

"Just so you know, I call her Baby Girl and I'm not gonna stop it."

Lizzy rolled her eyes at him as she knew he was trying to pick a fight.

"Perfectly fine with me. Just don't touch her. I don't share."

I glared at Ryan through the rearview mirror. Lizzy growled a bit and looked out the window with her arms crossed.

The landscape was very different. Our forests were more lush and had plenty of wildflowers growing on the sides of the roads. Lizzy smiled brightly as she noticed a huge weeping willow tree on top of a big hill.

"I love that willow tree!"

She exclaimed to me.

"We will welcome you into the pack when you are ready to bare my mark little one. I will not rush you in light of everything you learn... I want you to want to stay with me... Not just because the Goddess says so."

Lizzy looked at me a little shocked.

"So you're saying if I don't like what I hear or see.... You want me to reject you?"

I shook my head.

"I would never want that little Luna... But I also want you to be very happy and to make your own decisions."

Lizzy nodded her head and sat up as she saw the huge mansion-like house in the distance.

"We are here.."

Lizzy and Ryan were both amazed at the size of the packhouse.I knew they would be. I went on explaining where everyone sleeps. I told them that there was an elevator that will take us up to the top floor where we will be staying. I also explained that Ryan is welcome to stay on the Alpha floor as well. We all piled out of the car as servants came and started to unload everything.

"Put all of Lizzy's belongings in my room please. And Ryan will have the second room next to ours."

The servant bowed.

"Yes sir."

I moved quickly, giving orders to the others as they left them.

The inside of the packhouse was decorated amazingly. It was more modern than the Crescent Moon's pack house. Lizzy smiled as she admired all the paintings and artwork throughout the room as we waited to go up to the top floor.

"I hope you don't think its too forward of me to put your things in my room."

Lizzy shook her head and smiled.

"It's fine."

Ryan growled a bit clearly jealous.

"Here's our floor."

We all stepped out and looked around. I showed them where everything was.

"Help yourself to anything you want. We have our own kitchen and fridge up here that is stocked daily. And if you would like some training with our pack, feel free. It starts at 6am sharp."

Ryan nodded as he walked around looking. I growled as Ryan noticed one room had a giant padlock on the door and growled a bit.

"What room is this?"

I cleared my throat.

"That's in due time my good Sir."

Lizzy saw the padlock as I led her to his room. She looked up at me nervous.

"I think we were trying to get to know each other a little better before I show you that."

I smiled at her as I took her hand into mine and kissed the top of it. We decided to hold up in our room and talk most of the day. Lizzy learned a lot about me and I learned a lot about her. The talking ended as we heard a knock on the door.

"Hold on little one. "

I stood up and walked over to the door. A man that looked very similar to me was standing on the other side. My father.

"Ahh. I heard you had found your Luna son. When were you planning on introducing her?"

The man chuckled.

"Father. I was going to. We just got to talking."

I smiled at him as I held my hand out to Lizzy. She took it and walked up to the door smiling.

"Well there she is... Such a young beauty. I am Late Alpha Stryker. Your mate's father. And you are?"

"Alpha Princess Lizzy of the Crescent Moon Pack sir."

He smiled softly at her as he looked back to me.

"I knew Alpha Doug was hiding you for good reason. Your mother would just love her son...."

He smiled sadly as he looked down.

"Goddess rest her soul."

Lizzy looked at him sadly.

"I-I didn't-" I nodded.

"Last year we had a rogue attack... They took her. They never realized the power had shifted to me already... That's actually when I decided I needed to find my mate. I was worried that if I didn't, then she would have taken a chosen... It almost killed my father losing my mother... As wolves get older, the bond is still strong, but not as strong as new mates."

I looked down and Lizzy squeezed my hand softly trying to comfort me.

"I am so sorry.. I never heard about it..."

Father shook his head.

"I never spoke about it to anyone.... I secluded myself instead. I just started coming back around everyone. But I couldn't resist meeting my future daughter-in-law."

He smiled softly at them both.

"We should go out for dinner to celebrate!"

I smiled.

"That would be wonderful dad. She has a friend from the pack who decided to join her. His name is Ryan. Is it okay if he comes as well?"

My father nodded.

"Of course! The more the merrier!!"
