After cleaning we sat on the floor to have breakfast.

"I didn't go to work because I want to quit my job" she said and my spoon fell.

"but why?" I asked.

"my ex boyfriend recently took over the company, and he wants to take advantage of the situation" she explained but I was still confused.

"Richard is also responsible for my nightmare, he wanted to r**e me but he didn't succeed now that he is back he threatened to sack me if I didn't comply" she said again.

" am sorry for that" I said sadly.

"can I borrow your cellphone?" I asked her after we might have finished eating.

"yeah you can" she handed it to me.

"I would be going out to get something, see you when I am back" she said leaving the house.

I've decided to call my manager even if I didn't want to.

"hello, who am I speaking with" he said clearly over the phone.

I was shaking inside and my mouth was heavy.

"am hanging up now" he said angrily over the phone because he wasn't hearing anyone's voice.

"don't hang up, it's Freddie" I finally spoke.

"let's meet, I would text you the address"

"I will come alone" I hang up immediately.

When it was almost the time, I left the house and waited for him.

He came down from his car, ran to me and hugged me tightly.

"I've missed you more" tears trickled down my cheeks and I wiped it off immediately.

"let's talk in your car" I said.

We went inside and I explained everything to him.

"do you love her? " he asked.

"no, am not in love with her, I just feel sorry for her" I replied.

"employ her in my dads company and give her accommodation there, that way,i would be more close to you"

"when do you plan on ending this show of yours" he asked.

"I don't know yet but I will" I replied.

I wasn't drunk last night, I just pretended to be drunk to carry out my actions.
