Get out

? Bryl's POV "Hello love. Missed me?" I gasp in shock as I am hit with nostalgia of a thousand years. "Reenie?" I ask in shock. Renaega was my best friend growing up. I have no idea what or who she is but she grew with me, nurturing and comforting me as she laid in my head. She disappeared though, the same day I discovered the talking dead boy, almost like she was terrified of something. I notice everyone staring at me, even Hayden had stopped his incessant growling, I look around inquisitively as I feel a wet sensation on my face. I was crying, and I hadn't even noticed. I was shocked even more when Hayden took a swift step forward and wrapped his large arms around me, pulling me snug into his broad chest, just holding me there and saying nothing. For some reason this just makes me break down and cry harder. " Ah, I see you've done pretty well for yourself, good choice" I want to snarl at her that she has absolutely no clue what has gone on in my life but I just keep crying instead and shut her out. I'm pissed as I hear her softly knocking to be heard out but I won't be hurt again. Gathering my strength I push off Alpha Asshole, dust myself and walk off, barely getting past the door before I shift and run off into the woods. Hayden's POV I move to run after Brylnn but I'm stopped by the mutt. "Let her be, she needs time" he softly tells me I growl at him but take his words for it. I'd really need to step up my game if I want to win her back. As if Clay, my stupid wolf scoffs in my head. No one wants you, she wouldn't want you either. Especially not after what you've done to her I shut him out angrily as memories flood me. I let the guilt consume me as I remember how I tried to 'break her spirit'. I stalk out angrily wishing to reflect by myself as well. I sit by a lake for a few minutes when I feel a strange aura around me. Instantly tensing up, I begin to growl until a soothing motherly voice calls out "calm down, it's just me" Turning my head I watch a beautifully aged woman sit beside me. This must be the legendary witch, Esmeralda. Growling slightly I simply turn to face the lake once again. "You have a lot of work on your hands boy. Especially with the impression you've made so far" I grunt in response "Don't let your father continue to hunt you still" "How tf do you know my father?" I let out aggressively. "Defensive eh? Surprised I know your story? I didn't only know your father, boy, I watched him grow. Let me tell you a story, okay? Your father was a schoolmate of mine. One of the haughtiest and the most prideful. As you know, your legacy as a generation of Alphas is a really really powerful one. Your father however, had self esteem issues. Inferiority complex, so to speak. He felt threatened by the one person he was supposed to love and cherish, Lena. As you know, your gorgeous mother was from an Omega family, the lowest of the lows. She, however, was anything but that. Looks? She had it. Brains? She had it. Strength? Oh, was she a force to be reckoned with. She was my best friend. It was difficult for the young werewolves to treat her like less. She was on par with the pack IT girls, only, she was an Omega." That title makes me growl as memories of my mother floods me. Beautiful, she was but I have no memories of her being strong or brainy. The only memories I have of my mother was of her bloodied broken body, a form she always personified as she refused to ever submit completely to my father, until he had enough. "I know what you must be thinking, your mother never looked strong, yes? Well all her problems began on the day she decided to attend pack training. It was her first time, everyone expressed obvious shock and concern at her abilities. Some even laughed, mocked and sneered at her, one of such being your father. Lena stood courageously before him as they got paired together. He laughed in her face about how an Omega could never amount to anything and she'd better scurry off before he did something to hurt her. She stayed silent and that angered him. I remember tutting at his underestimation of her when I saw him lunge in frustration. As I expected, she won the fight, beat him into submission. He was battered and forced to surrender, the great Alpha-to-be Lyncon wept for release. It was a sight to behold" The admiration was evident as I watch the witch talk about my mother and it surprises me. "Unfortunately though" she continues, "that marked the beginning of his obsession with her. How an Omega could beat an Alpha rocked everyone to their core and some began to doubt his ability to rule. This fueled his ambition to force her into submission and prove his worth. He would corner her, shove her, spit at her but would get no reply. It was nothing serious so no one raised concern. But life can be so cruel to good people. The next year, he became Alpha and as the goddess would have it, they discovered they were mates. Another shock wave passed through the pack as everyone expected Stephanie Caren to be his mate. She even expected rejection. He, however, accepted her. Reluctant as she was, there was no fighting it as everyone practically pulled her to the altar to be wed. She came to me crying and I watched that pure soul weep helplessly. I tried my best, I did but one can only do so much against such a powerful family. She knew he didn't want her for good. She was not naive enough to assume he'd change. Oh, was she right...."
