Brylinn's POV
After Chris' shocking revelation, we both hurried back to the pack. Technically we're rogues but still we view ourselves as a pack and if I must say, we are more organized than most packs out there.
Getting to the pack house which we built ourselves, we both ran to look for Jenna. Sighting her in the garden, Chris instantly teleports us to her. I guess he got impatient.
"Oh my goddess. Why the rush children?" She asks startled.
"Mom. Do you still have that picture of Granny Esme that you always carried around?" Chris asks.
"Of course I do. It's right here" She pulls out a pocket and opens it showing us the picture of the old woman in the forest.
"s**t!" That came from Chris and I. Ignoring Jenna's glare, we turned to each other.
"So I actually met and spoke to the strongest witch in history?" I exploded.
"You..... Met.... Mom? That's..... That's..... That's impossible. She d...ied when I was barely sixteen".
Poor Jenna. She looks like she wants to cry.
"Mom..." Chris is cut off by a melodious voice once again.
"Oh my sweet Jenny". The old woman.... Sorry, Esme emerged from the trees. I'm not even surprised about how she managed to find this place. She's not the strongest witch for no reason.
"Momma? Mom" Jen finally breaks down crying and Esmeralda soon follows.
"I thought you were dead. How could you? You left me all alone with those monsters." Anger is starting to surface and for some reason, Jen is glowing red and it seems like I'm the only one seeing it. I look at Esmeralda and notice her glowing blue.
"I had to do it Jenny. I would explain now. I had to. If not you would never have been able to meet the Supernova". She says looking at me suggestively.
The what?
*Supernova. The strongest supernatural being alive. She'd explain more*
Uhhhh okay?
Looking up to see Esme smiling at me, I c**k my head curiously. For some reason, I feel safe around her. Had it been just anyone, I'd have glared at them so hard they'd faint. I always do with the visitors and newcomers. But for some reason, I'm being awfully complacent around her.
"Thank your demon for explaining what a Supernova is to you, dear"
I look at her shocked.
"How do you know about Nyx?" I turn defensive.
"Relax dear, I'm not a threat. Sit down all of you let me explain"
Chris pulls me into a sitting position as he also sits on the grass.
"You are a Supernova. The strongest supernatural being alive. You have been told that you are a tribrid. Well that's a lie but you only know about your vampire, werewolf and demon side so I understand why you might believe that."
Ignoring the curious looks from Chris and Jenna, I gesture for her to continue.
"You are infact the only one of your kind. When you were born, the moon goddess came to me." She ignored all our shocked stares this time and continued.
"She warned me about the level of your power and your trials. It's a pity your mate refused to stick to fate." I could have sworn I heard a growl at that but I ignore it.
"She also told me a very crucial fact. That you, my dear, have all the supernatural creatures inside you. Although you would only be able to talk to and relate with your demon, werewolf and vampire side, you can unleash the powers of witches, hellhounds, angels, fairies and even gods. Every supernatural you can think of. You are indeed stronger than the moon goddess herself."
We all go to gasp but a male beats us to it. We turn and I come face to face with the one person I never wanted to see again. Standing at the edge of the forest is Mark and my mate.
I'm guessing the gasp came from Mark as my mate showed no emotion. Glaring at them, I signal Chris him to get Jen and Esme out of here. Shaking his head, he opens up our special mind link.
That's him?
Yep. My one and stupid mate.
Him? Wow he really does look like a Jerkass.
I snigger at Chris but stopping when I hear the familiar growl. Deciding to ignore him, I get up and start walking towards the house with Chris and Jenna hot on my heels. Esme decided to stay back to talk to him I guess. To be very honest I couldn't care less.

Hayden's POV
"Your ex-mate really is strong brother" Mark mocks me. "Aren't women weaker vessels?"
I glare at him and focus on the story being told by the old woman.
Hearing about my mistake makes me growl but I try to muffle it. When we hear that Brylinn Carsonn is stronger than the moon goddess, I stiffen and stupid Mark decided to gasp and blow our cover.
Seeing my mate glare at me but laugh for another man stings. I can't blame her though. I know I've changed but she doesn't know that and considering the way I treated her, she wouldn't even believe me. Hell even my brother doesn't believe me. He thinks it's a sham just to get Brylinn back and torture her more.
When she starts walking to the house, I almost breathe a sigh of relief until I see him wrap his arm around her and I almost lose my s**t.
But I manage to calm down for her sake. Turning my attention to the smiling old woman, I frown.
"Jealous much?" She giggles.
I glare at her in response.
She sighs and tells me to follow her.
We walk together into the forest and she stops at a log and sits down.
"I have been assigned by the moon goddess to protect her so I need to have a talk with you"
I nod simply in response and she starts talking.....
