He was in a decidedly better mood than he had been the last few days—despite the pain that had begun to return after his bath. He examined the wound on his upper arm before putting on the new dressing—the stitches over the two distinct holes, and the slight bulge of fat between them. He gingerly felt the spot, and bit his lip as the pain spiked.
