I woke up early the next day, the sunlight pouring through the window, and the past events of the last week hovered over me like a storm cloud. Colin was asleep on the sofa; he looked peaceful. Like he did not care about the world. I took a second to gather my thoughts. I needed to see outside and make sure my husband didn't have any more visitors. It angered me how he would neglect me and make me feel like I was so worthless. He hadn't even bothered to message me to make sure that I was ok on my supposed business trip away.
