The next morning, I was awake at 5 am; I watched James leave from behind the curtain and scowled as he whistled happily to himself. He checked himself in the wing mirror and then got into his car, smiling like an i***t. He made my skin crawl literally; he had no idea how much I despised him. He was excited about his work awards in a few days, and that would be when I hit him with the reality of what he was doing. Lying to me, his family, his friends and most of all himself.
