I woke up the next morning to an unsettling silence that made me sit right up. Had Erin not come home last night from her friends? I couldn't remember much except being so exhausted. A faint smile flickered on my lips, slight concern and other part amused. She was pushing the boundaries. She was desperate to get married to me yet acting like a single woman.
Grabbing my phone from the bedside unit, I stared at the glow of notifications that were blinking back at me. Scrolling through, I felt my heart sink with disappointment.
