Mia's POV
I turned sharply, my eyes widening in surprise. Standing there was Colin. His face was tense, but there was a quiet concern in his eyes. He looked like he'd been searching for me, like he'd known I might need him but wasn't quite sure when I'd come out here.
"Oh… Colin," I managed, my voice catching. "I didn't expect to see you. What are you doing here?" He stepped closer, his brow furrowing as he looked at me carefully. "I was worried about you," he admitted softly. "I haven't heard from you; I figured you and James had decided to give it another go. Are you okay?"
I hesitated, feeling a strange mix of comfort and vulnerability. It was weird seeing him here, at the hospital, after everything that had happened. I'd been trying so hard to hold everything together inside
