I opened my eyes, hearing the hoot of car horns and the usual sound of traffic outside the window. My phone was vibrating on the bedside unit, causing me to groan loudly and stretch out my body.
Then I saw Nathan's name flashing on the screen. My heart skipped a beat. I wasn't expecting to hear from him so early, but I knew immediately—something was so important that it could not wait.
