Ariel Pov

I picked up the call and place the phone on my ear.

"Hey Jack, am sorry I was tired so I forgot to call you ?" I said to him through the phone.

"Nah.. it's fine, I just want to check up on you before going to bed ?"

"Thanks, that thoughtful of you ?"

"Dm (don't mention), so how is Alice's doing ?"

"She's doing great, she is in her room ?"

"Okay, I hope you've not yet forgotten about our arrangement for tomorrow ?" I decided to be ignorance with him.

"Uhm what arrangement are you talking about, I don't remember anything oo ?"

"Really, don't tell me you've forgotten ?"he said, I can feel disappointed in his voice when he speaks.

"Am just kidding, okay what time did you want me to get ready? ?"

"I thought you've forgotten, well at nine I'll pick you up ?"

"You're talking as if you know where I am staying?"

"Don't worry I've my ways, okay good night let me don't disturb you ?"

"Okay, and say hello to your elder brother for me ?"

"Okay I'll ?" he said before ending the call.

I drop my phone on the bed about to go to the bathroom when Louis barge in the room, and grab me by my upper arm, making me yell in pain.

He slammed my back at the wall, and starring at me with his bloody eye.

"W..what are you doing, you're hurting me let me go"

I cried.

"Who gave you the right to insult my parents by saying if they never taught me how to treat strangers"

"I...I...I" I can't say anything even if I wanted to, my lip is dried, all the anger that I had before has vanish, what am feeling is fear. "f**k" I cursed inwardly.

"Well cat got your tongue, let me make one thing clear here mr bright. You're in my territory, here I make the rules, I'll not accept any nonsense act from you here"

I swallowed my saliva hearing what he just said, I don't think that it's a threat.

He let go of me and went to the door, before opening it he said, "one more thing I want you to live in this house as though you don't exist and let's this serve as a warning, I won't be nice next time." with that he left.

I don't even know what am feeling right now, but am sure it's fear.

I went to the bathroom do my thing and went out, I put on my pajamas and went to bed, with mix feeling, I don't even know when I fell asleep.

8:40Am

I was woken up by the vibrating of my phone, it's was a text from lily.

"Hey b***h, still in bed? ?"

"And good morning to you too, yeah and was just waken up. Thanks to you. ?" I text her back rolling my eyes.

"Well I just got back from my trip, and I heard you're not in the U.K ?"

"Yeah am in canada ?"

"So what the occasion ??"

"It's a long story I'll tell you when I get back ?"

"Oky b***h, am gotta go now, am going shopping with my mom ? "

I shook my head while reading her text. Lily and her mother always want to buy any designer clothes that came out. They keep update in the trending things.

I switched my phone off and place it on the table beside the bed, I can't fall asleep anymore.

I slowly dragged myself out of the bed, it's difficult because my bed is warm and comforting, unlike my room that is not as warm as my bed, but some how I managed to get out of it and went into the bathroom to do my morning routine.

I've lot of things on my mind, what Louis said to me yesterday did he mean it?.

I shrugged the thought off and turn off the shower, went to my room and wear something simple.

On my way out I bumped into the maid lucy, "I'm sorry sir, I didn't watch where I was going, please forgive me sir." She said in one go.

I sighed "just called me ariel, and am also sorry I wasn't paying attention on the way".

She bow her head blushing.

"Why are you here?" I asked her.

"Oh! am.. ma'am Alice told me to get you, breakfast is already served."

"Okay, go and do your work, I know my way to the dining room" she bow her head and left.

I went to the dining room standing in front of the door, I don't know how to act in front of Louis, after our argument yesterday, I took a deep breath and relax then push the door.

What I saw mad me stop in my track s, Louis is wearing a coloured burberry shirt, a glasses on his face and he has styled his hair like how those korean actors normally styled theirs giving him a bad boy look he look hot. I find myself blushing just starring at him.

"Stop ariel, he is your sister's husband to be and in few months they're going to get married" I told myself inwardly.

"Are you going to stand there and stare,or what?, am tired of waiting for a leech like you."

I look away embarrassed I can feel my cheeks heating up again, but this time it's because of embarrassment.

I walked to my seat head down.

"Good morning licy, and Louis, how was your...."

"What's good about this morning?, am digging in already, I've some unfinish business I've to attend to"

He cut me off. I felt Alice hand in mine, squeezing it in a comforting manner.

I gave her a faux smile and muttered am okay.

We ate the food in silence.

After breakfast I went into my room to watch some movies, when Alice walked inside following me.

"Hey you okay?" She asked seating on my bed

"Do I look like it?" I asked her back.

She sighed, "look ariel am sorry okay, I know you're going through all of this because of me"

I walked up to her held her hands in mine.

"You don't have to apologise to me licy, you didn't wrong me, it's just that Louis is a peacock, he doesn't know how to treat his guest. Am so pissed at him."

"Hey don't swear at my husby"

She said teasingly,

"Oh really now you're taking his side" I said pretending like am sad.

"Oh.. come here," she said hugging me sideway while patting my back.

"Licy am okay, am not 10 year old anymore"

"Shot up, you're still a kid to me" I roll my eyes at that.

"You sure you're okay?"

"Yeah am fine, you can go back and do your thing, don't worry about me.

"Okay if you say so," with that she vanished through the door. I heave a sigh of relief.

I went back to the couch and turn the TV on.

I can't seem to concentrate on the screen in front of me, my mind was wandering around..

I was brought out of my thoughts, by the alarm of my phone indicating a w******p message from Jack.

Oh Jack I've probably forgotten about our appointment today.

From Jack. "Hey, you ready yet am outside the mansion"

To jack. "Are you for real?."

From Jack. "Yeah, and please be quick this guards wanna chew me out "

To jack."Lol, am on my way out give me like 5"

From Jack. "Okay please hurry up they look scary, I might wet my pants just by staring at the one with the mole on top of his eyebrows."

To jack."okay okay am comming, just chill."

I laughed hard tuck my phone in my back pocket.

I was about to run through the front door when I quickly stop in my tracks, almost bumping into Louis.

"Are you blind now?" He yelled at me..
