Episode 2

Ariel Pov

Upon reaching Max's apartment I knock on the door after a second i heard a "come in" upon entering i heard some noises coming from the kitchen, so i headed for the kitchen there i met Mrs Johnson preparing lunch.

"Good afternoon Mrs Johnson" i greet her.

"Good afternoon Ariel, how are you doing?"

I'm fine ma, is maxy maybe around?"

"Oh yeah, he's up stairs in his room"

Okay thanks ma".

I went up stairs for Max's room I can hear some music coming from his room, I did not even bother to knock i just grab the door nub and push it open revealing a dancing max with his poor dance step.

I clear my throat for my presence to be acknowledge.

Max turn his face around and we stir at me with his hazel green eyes for a second before turning his music box off.

"It's about time" Max's said. I just scuff and role my eyes without altering a single word.

Max keep stiring at me from head to toe and settled his eyes on my hands.

He take my hands on his and remove the broken phone that I was holding earlier.

"What happen to your phone?" Max asked " it's a long story" I reply without looking at him.

My checking where turning red from blushing just thinking about the strange man's face. Max's voice bring me back from my thought when he ask "did you just blush" raising his eyebrows at me. I just shrug and face palm myself.

"Now spill" he said resting his hands on his waist, I was praying for a miracle to happen because I don't want to share what happened today to max.

Suddenly we heard a knock on the door followed by Max's mom voice " boys lunch is ready" she said from outside the closed door. "We'll be out in a sec mom" max turn to me and said "we're not done talking".

I heave a sound of relief knowing Max's well probably forget about this. Max's went out and i followed suit closing the room door behind me and we both descend the stairs straight to the dining room.

A large Mable table was at the center of the room with six chairs surrounding it.

On the table was a glass plate and cups with different kind of food that is enough for 3 people.

We occupied three chairs said our prayers and started eating in silence, after eating I said my thank you and offered to help wash the dishes but Mrs Johnson whole heartedly decline my offer to help and told us to go where we wanted to go.

Max and i said our goodbyes and leave, once outside I told max that I didn't bring my car so we're going to use his.

Max is using a Range rover sport, while I'm using a Toyota Jeep.

"Max why didn't you invite lilly and jesse to accompany us?" I asked "well I invited them lilly is spending the weekend with her grandparents at the countryside, well jes u know is a total playboy and a jerk" he said so you want to tell me that you're not a playboy like him"?.

Max and jesse are full time playboys, not only did they have the looks and the money.

The girls drool over them while the guys envy them. If they knewnew if I was gay, well they knew and they're totally cool with it, most times they are the ones that defended me from bullies. well my sister and parent aren't aware that am gay and I'm not planning on telling them anytime soon.

We reach the mall max find an empty spot and pack his car, we descended the car and start walking towards the door that's leads inside the mall where we meet two guards that greets us with a little bow.

Entering the mall everywhere was busy, we search with our eyes where we kind find any electronic shop finally we found one, I told max to proceed on finding his PS5, while I went to the phone section, after searching for some minutes I settle for an IPHONE 8+. Leaving the store i sighted max standing outside the store pressing on his phone when he notice my presence he switch off his phone and tuck it back in his pocket.

"Let's go" he said and i noded, once inside the car I told him to drop me home first and he agreed.

After 40 minutes of silent driving he pulled up in front of my house I get down and wave him goodbye, I keep on waving until he was out of site.

Entering the house the first thing my eyes settled on was Alice sitting on the couch with her face in her Palm, I tap her to wake her up, her eyes are swollen like she has been crying. I felt my heart sink Alice is one of my weakness seeing her cry like this shattered me. "Oh my Alice what's happen to you, what wrong with your date, did it not go smoothly?", I asked without stopping, Alice just stirs at me without saying a thing. She sign and said "am fine" then why are you crying" I was asked to move in with my betrothed" she said, "isn't that a good thing so that you can get to know each other better".

"But I don't want to leave you, Arie can you move in with me?" She asked "what are you sure it's a good idea?" It is trust me, and I have already told our parents and they're okay with it" she said, "okay so when are we leaving"

"Tomorrow morning"she said, "what?...... So soon"

She raised her eyebrows at me and said "why so you want to abandon me because of your girlfriend right, I'll tell mom that's you've started dating"

I swallowed my saliva "what... non...sense are you saying" I stammered.

"Fine I'll go with you" I rose from the couch to go inside my room when she stopped me half way to the stairs, I turned to her and asked what, she get up and started walking where I was standing and snatch the shoppers bag from my hands, "what's you bought a new phone, what happened to the old one you've been using" well I.. I... Drop it " I said stammering. "I don't believe you".

I role my eyes and collected the bag from her. " I'm in my room in case you need anything from me". Going up stairs I heard her say "our flight to canada is 12 in the noon, so we're leaving at 10 to the airport" I just hiss and entered my room.

Dropping the bag in my bed I strip and fetch clean clothes and undies and went to the bathroom for a quick shower..

In a while I was through and wear a blues short and a gray baggy shirts.

Heading for my computer which is on the table that's is located at the right hand corner of the room. Operating it till it's was

10 at night I went to bed. Dreaming about the incidence that happens today.

It's 9 in the morning already, I get up from bed lazely dragging my feet to the bathroom, after my morning routine I went down for my breakfast.

"Good morning mom, dad and Alice" I greet them while pecking each one of them at the cheek.

"Morning my child, how are you" my dad said not taking his eyes away from the news paper he was holding. "I'm fine dad" he just nod and continue with his reading.

"Ariel, Alice had told us that you'll be going with her to Louis house since you guys are on summer break"

I just sign and nod my head without saying a thing.

After breakfast I went back to my room to pack the things that's I'll be needing for the trip to canada.

Once it's was 10:30 we leave for the airport.

At the airport.

We arrive one hour early, we just went inside the airport with me carrying all of our bags without allowing Alice touch a single shoes.

We are sitting on the waiting room, I was typing on my phone to kill time, whiles Alice was resting her head on my shoulder.

When it's was time we were called upon, after submitting my ticket I enter the plane only to find someone sitting on my sit by the window side.

I reached there and tap him gentle waking him up. "Hey.. hey excuse me that my sit you're sitting on" oh am sorry my bad" he said.

"It's okay" then he get up for me to sit down and he then sit besides me

"Mmm... I'm jack" he said stretching his hand forward for a handshake, I looked at him before taking his hand into mine for a handshake and said "ariel".

"Nice meeting you" he said, and to you too" going on a vacation in Canada" he asked

"Maybe, maybe not am escorting my sister over there" I said pointing towards Alice side who was sleeping in the plane.

"Wow.. she's a beauty, actually this my first time in visiting canada, can I maybe have your number.. you know in case you want to hang out later" I looked him in the eyes, I can see the sincerity in them, without arguing I gave him my number. It's took about 1 hour 11 minutes for us to land, all of us descend the plane as usual I was the the one carrying the bags.

"It's about time" Alice said.

"Hey buddy, so where are you residing", well we will be staying at Toronto, how about you" I asked, " as for me am going all the way to Hamilton (Ontario)" jack said.

"Wow it's a 1 hour 4 minutes drive from here"

"Well don't worry about me, my elder brother is already here to pick me up" oh okay " I said.

"So...are you free to hang out tomorrow, maybe roam around the city" jack asked scratching the back of his head, maybe he is shy or nervous. "Well I don't know why don't we just see how the day goes?" I asked

"Well give me a call in case you're free tomorrow Oky"

Okay take care, I'll call you when I arrive home" I said.

He turned his gaze to Alice who was standing behind me and said "hey beauty it's so nice to meet you, what's that your name again umm.... Alice oh yeah Alice" he smiled nervously. Alice just smile at him and said "nice meeting you too jack, uhm if you don't mind can you please excuse me our ride is here"

Okay no problem take care"

Okay jack gotta run now don't forget to call me" I said before leaving him.

Jack was a cute guy probably around my age with a chubby face and a pointed nose, he's an average guy in terms of hight.

Reaching the car the driver that was sent to collect us take the bags from me and placed them in the back Booth.

Alice was sitting behind so I enter into the passengers sit opposite the driver.

After a few seconds we're on our way to probably God knows where, the journey was silent, so I decided to take my phone out and started chatting with Lilly and max.

After a 40 minutes drive which seems like for ever the car stop in front of a very big house like a hotel like with a very big black gate, after a few minutes the gate was open and the driver drove in.

Get out side the car a "wow" escape my mouth, the house was painted with gold and and white colours. It is divided into two parts with a swimming pool at the middle, a parking spot, a garden and a hot.

I was brought back from my dream world when Alice tap me on the shoulder.

"Are you okay? You've been zoning out for the past two minutes now" what?... I shout. "I..I was.." I stammered.

"It's okay let just go Inside, a maid was guiding us inside the house, while a guard was carrying our belongings.

I almost faint at the site in front of me, the living room was well furnished with a big golden chandelier hanging in the middle of the room.

A maid came and bow down before going to call his master, after 2 minutes she came back downstairs and said " am sorry my master is kinda busy at the moment, please be patient" I shout "what?....."

Making the maid flinch.

"Does he not know that he is expecting visitors, Alice let's get out of here I can see your so call husband to be does not want to see us".

Alice grab my hand and said "Arie let's be a little patient please"

She's said with a sad smile, I can tell that she was very hurt. I just sigh and cool down.

"Who is shouting at this time and disturbing my work"

I turn my eyes towards the stairs to see who is talking. I froze at the spot where I stood looking at the person who I least expected to be here.

After regaining my conscience I asked "you..."

And the i***t said "yes me, what a small world. We meet again". He was smirking, I just role my eyes at him..
