ANTHONY’S POV Other than the rapid tapping of my fingers against the dashboard, the silence in the car isn’t as deafening as back at the penthouse but it exists here nonetheless. We’re parked in front of the building that houses NextDay Publications and even though it’s already dark outside, the lights still turned on are an indicator that work hours haven’t closed for the day. But it’s not the building I’m focused on. I’d already looked at that moments ago. Cody had messaged me saying Sonia hadn’t gone that far with her friends, and that they had only gone to a restaurant just besides the office building. So now, despite the distance of where I’m parked at, I’m left staring at her from inside the restaurant as she laughs at something some brunette says. I was going to call her out
