Emily didn't dare look back as she ran down the driveway, her heart pounding in her chest. She didn't stop until she reached her car, which was parked at the entrance of the mansion's grounds. She fumbled for her keys and unlocked the door, diving inside and locking it behind her.
As she caught her breath, she looked back at the mansion, half-expecting to see the woman in white standing in the window, watching her. But the windows were empty, and the mansion seemed to loom over her, its presence oppressive.
Emily started the car and drove away from the mansion, not stopping until she was miles away. She pulled over at a small café, her hands shaking as she tried to process what had just happened.
As she sat in the café, sipping a cup of coffee, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She looked around, but the café was empty, except for a few patrons typing away on their laptops.
Suddenly, Emily's phone buzzed with a text message from an unknown number. "You can't escape the darkness," the message read. "It's inside you."
Emily's heart skipped a beat as she realized that the woman in white must have somehow gotten her phone number. She tried to call the number, but it was blocked.
As she sat there, trying to make sense of what was happening, Emily noticed a figure sitting across from her. It was a woman with long, curly hair and a white dress that seemed to glow in the dim light of the café.
Emily's heart sank as she realized that the woman in white had followed her. She tried to get up and leave, but her legs seemed rooted to the spot.
The woman smiled, and Emily saw that her eyes were black as coal. "You can't escape me," she said, her voice low and menacing. "I'll always be with you."
As Emily watched in horror, the woman began to fade away, like a ghost disappearing into thin air. But just as she vanished, Emily heard a faint whisper in her ear, "You'll never be alone again."
Emily was shaken to her core. She didn't know what to do or where to turn. She felt like she was losing her grip on reality. She quickly paid for her coffee and left the café, not knowing where she was going or what she would do when she got there.
As she drove, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She kept looking in her rearview mirror, expecting to see the woman in white standing behind her. But every time, there was no one there.
After what felt like hours of driving, Emily finally pulled over at a small hotel. She checked in, hoping to find some peace and quiet. But as she lay in bed, she couldn't sleep. She kept hearing strange noises and feeling like someone was watching her.
Suddenly, Emily's phone buzzed again. It was another text message from the same unknown number. "I'm always with you," the message read.
Emily's heart racing, she threw off the covers and got out of bed. She looked around the room, but there was no one there. She checked the closet and the bathroom, but she was alone.
As she stood there, frozen with fear, Emily heard a faint whisper in her ear. "You'll never be alone again." She spun around, but there was no one there.
Suddenly, the lights in the room began to flicker. Emily felt a cold breeze blow through the room, and she saw a shadowy figure standing in the corner. The figure began to take shape, and Emily saw that it was the woman in white.
The woman's eyes were black as coal, and her smile was twisted and cruel. "You can't escape me," she said, her voice low and menacing.
Emily tried to scream, but her voice was caught in her throat. She tried to run, but her legs were frozen in place. The woman began to laugh, a cold, mirthless sound that sent shivers down Emily's spine.
And then, everything went black.
When Emily came to, she was lying in her bed, the sun shining through the window. She sat up, rubbing her head, wondering if it had all been a dream. But as she looked around the room, she saw that everything was different. The furniture was different, the walls were a different color, and the window was in a different place.
Emily's heart sank as she realized that she was back in Blackwood Manor. She was trapped, and she didn't know how to escape.
The woman's voice whispered in her ear, "You'll never leave this place. You'll be mine forever."
