Chapter Thirteen

He would gather a lot of evidence to prove that the innocent students were telling the truth. And the group of bullies are lying. In the meantime, Dextera spoke to Keane in his mind.

“ Kuya (brother), these group of bullies are lying through their teeth “

“ Even the school nurse here believe their words over the innocent students “

“ We need someone to protect these innocent students that are currently bullied by them “

“ These innocent students are almost close to death door “

Dextera spoke her opinion to Keane. 

“ Ate (sister) , I’m aware of their lies as well. They cannot fool us, but they can fool others “

“ Don’t worry, we’ll talk to the chairman about this “

“ I have a feeling that Mr. Chairman send us here for a reason“

“ And whatever that reason is was to clean the school inside and out “

“ Not that typical cleaning that humans do. But, to teach them manners and respect“

Keane gently says this to her in her mind. He was also aware of what these people did behind closed doors. He sighs at the thought. On cue, his phone rings. The phone call was none other than the chairman himself. Keane gave a devilish smirk towards the nurse and the group of bullies. Dextera knew right away who it was.

OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL INFIRMARY

KEANE’S POV

I got a phone call from the chairman. I’m sure my little sister can handle herself. Besides, she’s not all alone. I’m near her. But, I’m also outside of the school infirmary.

“ Hello there chairman, what do I owe a pleasure of you speaking to me ?“

Keane spoke to the chairman in a friendly manner.

“ Hey Keane, how are you doing brother ? “

The chairman spoke to him with a smile on his face.

“ Why must you call me that ? We’re not really related you know “

Keane says as he spoke to him informally.

“ hahaha true. But, I am also your cousin from your parents’ side of the family“

“ How’s your little sister doing ? Does she cause any trouble ? “

The chairman spoke like a true gentleman. He spoke to Keane in a friendly manner too.

“ She’s doing fine. However; I digress on the manner of the school “

Keane smiled as he spoke about his sister like that. But, his voice changes when it comes to the matter of the school.

“ Oh. What else displeases you of this school ? “

The chairman spoke to him in a serious manner this time.

“ Mr. chairman; are you aware of bullies and the abuse of authority at Sacred Diamond School ?“

Keane spoke to the chairman in a business manner. He gave out his opinion to his cousin. His cousin was the chairman of the school. The chairman was also the cousin of Dextera too. But, she hasn’t met him before.

“ No, I am not aware of this. The principal of this school didn’t report me about it. Did I miss anything ? “

The chairman was sad. There was more than meets the eyes of the others. He didn’t know that the principal had not reported this to him at all. He didn’t even know that someone was abusing their authority at the school.

“ Do you have videos of who did this ? “

The chairman spoke to Keane.

“ Mr. chairman; you’re not a human. You’re just like me and my little sister. How about you come to the school and have you check on our memories? Aren’t you good at that ? You do have the power to see through memories. They are the truth “

Keane spoke innocently to him.

“ True. The school that I founded was for everyone. It’s supposed to be a diverse school. Both supernaturals and humans live in harmony. I wanted to teach humans that supernaturals beings are not that scary “

The chairman spoke his ideals to Keane. It wasn’t that surprising for Keane himself. He knew that there were humans attending this school. Sacred Diamond School is on neutral grounds. There are no rules at all. Everyone is welcome to go to this school. And since it's on neutral grounds everyone could go out to other places. The rules don’t apply to humans. There are rules set only to supernaturals. And the rules are simple. For any supernaturals, they must obey. 

The vampires cannot hunt humans for blood. Because, the president of the supernaturals and the human president are on a peace treaty among each other. The vampires can go to neutral grounds if and only if they are here to look for a mate. The same goes for werewolves. If the werewolves are on vampire territory they are only there to search for their mate. Supernaturals cannot ever mate with humans. Because, humans have killed a lot of supernatural beings centuries ago.

So, every god, especially the moon goddess, banned humans from ever mating any supernatural beings. Humans can date supernaturals. But, if supernatural had s*x with humans. Then humans cannot get pregnant by supernatural beings. Humans only get pregnant by their kind. While supernaturals get pregnant by their kind. It is the law. The human president promises that if their humankind hurts the supernatural in any shape and form. Then they cannot get the protection that they need from the supernaturals. Humans are weak. Because, they could contract diseases easily in the blink of an eye. As for supernaturals, they don’t contract any diseases. Supernaturals have longer lifespans. Humans don’t have longer lifespans. 

Humans could easily die. They could either die from diseases. Or if someone murder them on the spot. Either by guns, knives, etc. Anything you name, they would get killed easily. Vampires and werewolves could easily be killed too just like humans. However; werewolves are weak against silver, and wolfsbane. While vampires are weak against sunlight, salt, silver, cold iron, blessed implements, etc. For vampires to walk during the daylight; they must wear any jewelry that is blessed by a witch. In doing so; they can walk among humans. They cannot take it out while in the sun. Because, if they did; they would burn into ashes. However; humans cannot touch the jewelry that vampires wore on their body. 

If humans did; they would get electrified. Only witches can remove the jewelry that vampires wear. Since, it was made and blessed by their power. Dextera and Keane knew about the history of humans and supernaturals. No one knows that this kind of weakness that supernaturals have does not affect Dextera and Keane. They are both immune to it. However; they would wear jewelry that Dextera made herself. It was the only way to control their powers. So, it won’t get out of control. Their powers are connected to their emotions. No one cannot steal their powers. If they try to; they and their generation will be cursed. 

The only person who knew about the identity of Dextera and Keane was the chairman of Sacred Diamond School. After a while, Keane remembers all the names from both the list Dextera and himself had. He informed the chairman. And the chairman has informed the principal to give these students who are hurt with bruises, etc. to be excused from school. So that they could stay home and rest. The chairman also informed the principal that one of the teachers has abused their power of authority. And that she must be removed affect immediately. The principal wonders how the chairman knew. And he told the principal that he has his own resources in finding out the truth. 

There were also strict rules for all teachers. That means that anyone who abuses the power of authority will be removed automatically. And no other school will hire them. The abuse of power could be anything. And any teachers will not consummate with any students. Nor could any teachers consummate with other higher ups to get the position they wanted. That is against the law in the supernatural world. Keane also informed the chairman about the behavior of the school nurses here at Sacred Diamond School. And the chairman was shocked. The chairman was also angry too. He couldn’t believe that a nurse like that would not treat any students from their wounds. 

He could tell that the nurses were playing favoritism. He told Keane that the nurse will be removed immediately and will be replaced by a new nurse who would follow the rules. The chairman also told Keane that they cannot do anything about the bullies. Because, the bullies are related to the principal. And the principal was the one who donated money to the school. Keane left his mind open telepathy. Dextera heard it. And she was not happy. 

“ Kuya (brother), can’t we just sponsor the school ? “

“ The school new to be reformed “

“ Its utterly distasteful “

“ The principal aren’t doing anything “

“ It’s either he knew about it or he’s ignoring it “

Dextera spoke to Keane through his mind telepathy. Keane agrees. He agrees that the school needs to be reform. Other people will get hurt. And if someone dies from too much bullying; bad things will happen as a result. The only bad thing that Dextera feels is that death will come. It’ll be the first time to see a death reaper at the neutral grounds. If she saw it though. Others who welcome death noticed that the death reaper was a hot man. But, death reapers don’t have any flesh and no heart. They only have bones and they are controlled by magic. Dextera sighs at the thought. She knew that Keane was speaking to the chairman of the school. 

She wasn’t that dumb. She was good at listening. Even without using her powers, she could understand what Keane and the chairman were saying. And she likes the idea. She gave out a devilish smirk. She was satisfied at the answer the chairman gave out. She also knew that the chairman was somehow related to Keane in a way. If the chairman is Keane’s cousin; that also means that she is also the chairman’s cousin as well.

Dextera’s POV

I was happy that Keane left his mind open. I could hear his thoughts. I didn’t have to pry on it. Since then, I had a feeling that Keane and I have a special bond. I’m not sure what kind of bond though. The parents have told me that my bond with Keane was a sibling bond. But, a part of me feels like my mother and father are hiding something from me. I sigh at the thought once more. I haven’t told Keane about this either. I don’t know if he would look at me differently though.

It's strange though. I woke up in a body that appears to look like me. But, I look more of a teenager or even younger. It was also strange that I was able to see different kinds of fairies. There was Stella. She was a fashion fairy. And then there’s Estella. She was the makeup fairy. I’m the only one who could hear it. And also see it. Keane and the others around me couldn’t. Which I find strange. Am I differently like the rest? I woke up in the year 2000. It says I’m supposed to become ten.

Did I skip a grade? The Sacred Diamond School. I wonder if it’s for all grades. I wonder if there are more students beside this one. Or maybe they mistake my age. I guess the chairman didn’t explain it well enough to me and to Keane. Other students mistake us as twins. Since, we always finish our sentences together. There were other students who mistook us as mates. Because, for Keane he felt calm at my touches. And strangely enough; I felt calm with his touches. 

He was protective of me. And I was also protective of him. Would I find it strange? Yes, I would. Would I feel disgusted? No, not really. But, I still feel like something doesn’t feel right. Does this have to do with the memories I have? I woke up to a body that isn't my mind. I just thought Dextera Apollonia was a great name to use. Since then, I keep hearing the name in my mind. I didn’t have time to look around the pictures in the room I was in. I do remember that the body doesn’t belong to me exactly. 

I did feel like there’s two souls within one body. I wonder how this works. So, if I tell the truth then the owner of the body would have the soul reside in it. If the owner of the body which is their own soul lie; then I’ll be the one residing in the owner’s body. I think that’s how it applies. It’s like watching what others are doing. But, I’m hiding in the shadows within the owner’s body. Since, I could feel two souls within me. The first soul is the owner. And the second soul would be another part of me. 

No one knows that I’m Quincy. And that I’m residing in their daughter’s body. What she sees through my eyes, Quincy could see it too. Oddly enough to understand. If I end up sleeping; I would be speaking to Quincy through dreams. But, reasonable; Quincy told me that she had traveled in her sleep. And that when she wakes up she resides within me. That was the story I heard from her. I don’t think she would lie to me. I would know. It’s strange though. I trust Quincy then I trust my own parents.

If I do call them my parents. The way they treat me; I find it hard to believe so. Quincy could also feel the pull towards Keane as well. She finds it odd. But not odd enough. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t have any siblings. When she resided within me; I somehow could feel others around me lying. Is this her power? When Quincy came along; I could feel the tension of the air rising high. And that I could finally see fairies. As I look deep into my memories; I couldn’t even see anything with my second eye. 

I think they call the second eye a psychic eye. But, I doubt it. I mentally groan at the thought. I think Quincy told me that the female teacher at the school was abusing her power of author. And the fact that the bullies are lying. Not only that, the nurses at this school don’t even treat any wounds to any students. Even I could tell the nurse was playing favoritism.  I was in deep thought. Not realizing what others are saying to me. But when I snapped back to reality; I could see a dark intention coming in the air. 

I look up to see that the bullies are plotting something. I could also sense fear in the air. I followed where the fear was. And it leads me to the school nurse. I start to flutter my eyes as I blink them once or twice. The school nurse was looking at me. She doesn’t know my name. I held my urge to roll my eyes at her. After about five to ten minutes; Keane came back to the infirmary. He also felt the tension in the air have shifted. Keane approached me. He patted my shoulder.

“ Are you alright ? “

Keane says to me. I relax my shoulders.

“ Nothing that I couldn’t handle “

I said that to him as I looked up at him. My eyes never leave his. I sigh.

“ So, did you get a hold of the chairman ? “

I said out loud to him. I did that on purpose. So that everyone could hear what’s going on. Or hear the conversation. I look to the side. I saw the tremble and the shake of the school nurse. I smirk at the sigh. Keane looks at every other person in this infirmary. He could tell why I said that to him. He starts to laugh softly. He shook his head. And he also sighs.

“ Yeah, I did. He told me that he’s going to inform the principal about it “

Keane says to me as he doesn’t take his eyes off of everyone around him. He shrugs his shoulders at the same time as he sighs and shakes his head side to side. I could tell that Keane found this funny. He wants to see what everyone’s reaction is. The reaction of finding out who we really are. But, I knew that if they do; danger is lurking in every shadow. 

“ Kuya (brother), we can’t tell others who we are yet. Not until, we both think it’s the right time “

I spoke my opinion to him through his mind telepathy.

“ I also think that too Ate (sister) . They don’t deserve to know who we are just yet “
