Chapter Fifteen

Dextera and Keane waited for a while. Then, the next minute; a group of men wearing in black suits came to the infirmary. They knock the door on coding. Only Dextera and Keane knew.

“ Come in “

Dextera says in a sweet yet gentle voice at the people at the door. Keane had a feeling who it was. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

“ Keane, you do know that the people at the door were sent by the chairman of this school right? He doesn’t want anyone to hurt us. We should thank our cousin for that, don't you ? “

Dextera says to him in their private link. Keane couldn’t hold the snicker any longer. He could see the people in the infirmary with shock on their faces.

“ You should close your mouth, you don’t want a fly to come in, do you ? “

Keane says to the nurse and the students. After a while, the group of men in black suits opened the door and went inside the infirmary. They look around the room. They were disgusted to see the students and nurses. The group of men were aware of the presence of Dextera and Keane. They looked at each other as they nodded in agreement. They decide to go down on the floor. They kneel down on the floor. They did it by their bedside. They bow down towards them as they face head on.

“ Lady Dextera and Master Keane, it’s pleasure for us to have you in our presence especially in this school “

They both say in unison as they bow down lower to the ground. Their hands were on the floor. The others were speechless. The nurse was afraid, apparently shown on her face. Dextera  glanced to her side. Keane didn’t say anything. He signals them with his free hand. It was to tell them to rise up.

“ It's a pleasure for us to be here. Please you all can rise “

Keane gestures to them with his hand as he says that to them. He glanced at them, not leaving anything behind. 

“ We do not wish to anger you master Keane “

They spoke in unison. Dextera felt the intense feeling that he was feeling. She placed her hand on his chest. So, he could feel relaxed. Since, she knew that Keane could feel what she felt. It was the only way to help him calm down. 

“ Don’t be afraid of us. Please let us see your face. Look at us ! “

Dextera asks in his stead. There was silence in the air. They did what they were asked. One by one each of their heads were raised up. They were still kneeling down. They place their right hand above their chest. It was a sign of respect. Keane starts to study each of their faces. He would know if anyone is trying to lie to them. Dextera also studies them too. She could feel the feeling of fear. She looked back to see the students and nurse. She sighs as she shakes her head. After a few minutes, the silence was broken. Dextera starts to speak before the others. Keane leaned his chin on her shoulder. It was the only way to keep him feeling relaxed.

“ Very good. I have a good sense you guys aren’t afraid of us. Very good. We like strong men like you “

Dextera says in a soft voice that only they could hear. If they weren’t any other supernatural beings here in the human school.

“ Of course not ladyship. We respect you Lady Dextera and Master Keane. It is not our nature to anger you. We apologize for any faculty staff who humiliate you here. We will do our must to hear both side of the story “

“ We don’t tolerate adults abusing their powers just because they teach at this elite school. We strive to be the best “

They say in unison trying to sound as confident as possible. Keane watches them. He read each of them one-by-one. Dextera giggles softly.

“ I see. Do you know what will happen to those who did abuse their authority here ? We don’t tolerate disobedience. Nor do we tolerate student beating up people who are weaker than them “

Dextera spoke as she glanced back at the students who pretended to be hurt when they weren’t. She shakes her head in disbelief.

“ Yes, we know what will happen to adults who abuse their authority. We were sent here by the chairman of this school. And we will abide his rules along with the rules of the director of educational board “

Keane looked Dextera. He nodded. Dextera looked at him. She also nodded at him. He was pleased to hear their answer. The female nurse was shocked to hear. As well as the eight bullies who are students of the school. They were shocked. They had their hands on their chin. They start to rub it back and forth. They also wanted to know who the director of the educational board was. She and Keane turn to face them. They had their hidden smirk. Their school would find it the hard way.

There was silence in the room. As soon as possible, a voice came out of the speaker. It spoke loud as clear as day. It called the name of the nurse that was in the school infirmary. It was more like it was paging her to the principal's office. The eight students still had that smirk on their face. They had a feeling that this had something to do with their parents. They had their family backing them up. But, little do they know that their parents will not be able to win this.

“ Paige Wilmer, please come to the principal office “

“ I repeat Paige Wilmer, you are needed at the principal’s office “

Any other students walking by could hear it. They were doing their own thing. Other students were chatting here and there. Others were by their lockers. Others are waiting for their friends to come.

… MEANWHILE …

School Infirmary

Dextera could tell that the nurse was being called. She and her brother act like they are scared. It was the only way for others to let down their guard around them. As for Paige, the school nurse; she put her head down. She was ashamed. She stares at the floor as she walks herself out of the infirmary. The eight students are the only ones left. 

“ Jiang zhe ba ming xuesheng ye dai dao xiaozhang bangongshi “  [Bring these eight students to the principals’s office as well]

This time it was Keane who broke the silence. His voice was stern. Dextera could tell his voice was husky. But, it also came out strong. The strong aura around him was powerful. Any supernatural could feel it. It vibrates through the school hallway. The men in black suits did what they were told.

“ Ru ni suo yuan shaoye “  [As you wish young master] as the men in black bow their heads at him.

It was a sign of respect. After they kneel and bow towards him and Dextera, they get up. They gesture at the eight students to follow them. They were excited that these men would protect them. The strangers that the student didn’t know tried their best to hold their laughter. If they try to laugh, they would replace it with a cough. When the eight students left, one of the men in black turned around to face the two. He bowed to them. It was a way to excuse themselves. Dextera and him nodded towards them.

It was now only Dextera and her brother. They were chilling at the school infirmary. They decide to lay down on the bed. Well more like Keane. Since, there’s only one bed in the infirmary. But, he doesn’t want to be alone. So, he pulled her towards him. She was on top of him. It was the only way to calm him down. Not after what they both have witnessed.

“  Keane, you think the people in the principal’s office will lie ? “

Dextera asked him. She has this distinct feeling that something isn’t right. Like something bad would happen. But, she doesn’t know if this is the one she was referring to. He looks at her with love and caring in his eyes. He knows he feels comfortable around her. His bond with her was the strongest. A part of them knew it as well. They have a special bond that no other siblings have. They knew that the chairman of the school would keep his mouth shut. Since, they know that if he told them who Dextera and Keane was. Then, the chairman would probably attract whatever enemies he has or they have.

“ It’s very obvious, don't you think so, Dextera? “

“ This school is in neutral ground, so of course they think they could break the rules here “

Keane replies to her as he answers to her. She sighs over and over. He didn’t like seeing her like this. He sat straight up. His back was against the wall. As for Dextera, she was straddling him. It wasn’t weird for her to do this. She trusts him. Just as Keane trusts her. She starts to whimper. She has this feeling that not only that the innocent students were being bullied. But, there are other victims of bullying in the school. Keane could feel her pain. He wasn’t happy. He could tell what she was thinking about.

“ Hey Hey Dextera, shhh shhh “

Keane tries to calm her down. He extended his right hand. He caresses her face gently as possible as he says this to her. The spark she felt from his hand was soft yet gentle. Keane could tell she was about to cry. He doesn’t want the school to be destroyed. Her powers are far more powerful than his. For Dextera, one of her powers was the ability to control the weather at will. It was as if she had the protection of a dragon god. The one thing that humans from another country worship. If she does tend to cry, her tears will start to form. It will form into a beautiful crystal. The sky will not lit up if it starts to rain. Even though the weather is supposed to be sunny.

… AT THE SAME TIME  …

PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE

Paige continues to walk the school hallway. The students there were whispering here and there. She didn’t care what other people thought. She raised her head high as if she was confident. She finally reached the principal’s office.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

She knocked at the door four times. She could hear other people in the office. So, she’s not alone. Among her friends, when she turned around, she saw eight students with her. Along with the men in black suits and black sunglasses.

“ Come in “

The principal called out from the door. Paige and the students went inside. The principal could recognize the men in black suits and black sunglasses. Everyone went in.

“ Who are you ? “

The principal asked as his face was turned towards the group of men in black suits. He could tell that they aren’t normal people.

“ Ahh so you could recognize us in a way “

One of the men spoke as the others raised their eyebrows. They don’t like the way the principal handles things at the school. 

“ Our young master has informed us that someone in this school have cause problems for the two people that is important to him “

“ We are here for their protection. We are their knights. Warriors. Soldiers. Whatever you name us as “

“ We don’t care. We only obey and serve our young master and our young master’s important people “

The group of men says in unison. The others who saw it were shocked. This was the first time I heard this. One of the adults who is the parent of one of the students step forward.

“ I don’t care who you are but step aside. You are not needed here “

A female spoke of authority. More like using her money for power. She handed them money. The others in the group start to laugh.

“ Madam, we do not accept your cash. We don’t accept money to a bunch of students who are bullies “

“ Take your money elsewhere. You and the rest of the seven parents of the eight students will not take sympathy from us ”

Another man spoke. He says every word with venom oozing out but it was covered with sweet honey.  Another adult steps in to join the conversation. As the others threw the money the female adult gave them into their face.

“ Who is the young master who sent you here ? “

This time it was a male voice. The other men in the group look at each other. They shake their heads in disbelief. They couldn’t understand why these adults are asking stupid question. They are going to school that belongs to their young master. The principal should know this answer, but his face says otherwise. They couldn’t hold their laughter. They start to laugh at them.

“ Are you serious? “

Another man spoke who has a pompadour hairstyle as his hair was black and he had brown eyes .

“ Your children are going to this school “

“ You are paying for their education to learn “ 

“ Not paying this school to have your children bully other students who are weaker than them “

Another man spoke as he joined in the conversation as well. He also has the same hairstyle as the other one. Except his hair was platinum blonde hair and blue eyes.

“ Who was the one who owns this school ? ”

“ Who was the one who hired you, Maverick, to become the principal of this school ? “

Another man joined in the conversation. This man had a messy pomp hairstyle. Except his hair was light brown. He also has green eyes. However; you cannot tell. Since, these groups of men are wearing black sunglasses. It was the only way to cover their eyes. Because, these groups of men aren’t humans per say.
