Chapter Two

The little girl slightly inhales and exhales. The sad cries of the trees continue to echo through the air. She starts to shut her eyes to ignore the chatter of people talking among each other. A mysterious voice appeared in her mind. It was humming a soft tune. The tune was very angelic and soothing. As she calmed her heart, a gust of tiny wind came underneath her feet. It was spectacular to people who saw it. It’s like she was floating, but she’s not. The wind gathers towards the little girl as if it's dancing to the rhythm of the beat.

The girl speaks through her mind and heart. The wind answers her call. It came towards her as she was enveloped with green light. The same light that calms the vicious wind outside where the trees were. As the wind disappeared, so did the little girl and the animals with her. People who saw her vanished in panic. Before they did anything, the female owner told the staff not to look for her. She told them the girl isn’t welcome into the orphanage. She kicked the girl out even though she was still a child.

“ Let's see how long you last outside, little girl. You’ll beg for my mercy to help you. But, I won’t let you. You’re not welcome to the orphanage “ as the female owner was thinking in her mind.

The female owner went back to the office. The staff there did what she was told. No one spoke about the little girl. It was as if she didn’t exist. The anger didn’t boil down to her. She did as she pleased. There aren’t any staff around at night since everyone left. It was just her and the kids. She vents her anger at the little kids when they didn’t do anything wrong. The abuse started worse and worse. The girls didn’t cry. Nor the guys throw tantrums. They both behave. 

They were afraid of being punished. Months, days and years have passed. All the children that were in the orphanage were already adopted. And the orphanage received a bundle of money. After a while, a mysterious couple walks into the orphanage. One person had a slender, feminine build, fair skin, voluptuous and curvy body. She had defined heart face shape, seductive arch eyebrow, upturned feline shape, celestial nose shape and blossom lip shape. Her hair was really long that touched the floor. 

It was tight in a ponytail at the center. Her hair was in a princess style. Her hair color resembles that of a sunset. Like the color of red-orange when the sunlight touches it. It was as if her hair was burning with fire. Her eyes were icy blue. She had an aura of nobility, but she was gentle and elegant. The other person had slender, masculine build, beige skin, wet-toned and skinny body. He had defined triangle face shape, narrow eyebrow shape, moonlit almond eye shape, roman nose shape and classic lip ship. 

His hair was in a short cropped style. His were emerald green like a birthstone. He looks like a beautiful girl with that beauty of his appearance. The girl was wearing a fuchsia dress with a beige shawl around it as a cardigan to cover her back. The jacket around it has a fuzz around it like fur. She was wearing light pink heels. The boy had a matching color as the girl. But he was wearing a white and black collar shirt. As his pants were tight black pants. His shoes were red and black. 

They both were wearing sunglasses as a shade to cover their eyes. Their hands were protected by gloves. The people at the orphanage were shocked. They saw cars coming here. It was as if they were in a movie. It's those kinds of rich people’s cars. They sigh. The female owner came out. She squealed at the sight. She saw countless handsome men coming out of the car. The two people up front breathe in and out. The girl looked at him. He looked at her. They both nodded in agreement. They turned to face the lady that made a screeching sound. A sound that made your ears bleed or deaf.

“ Anjing. Ni de ghengyin nankin you fanren! “ [Be quiet. Your voice is ugly and annoying!]

The boy glared at the lady. The lady flinched at the boy yelling. Without hesitation, he grabbed the lady by the neck.

“ Whoever this person is. Unhand me! Do you know who I am? I’m the owner of this orphanage “ said the lady who had a vicious personality.

The boys around them sneered. They were holding back their laughter. 

“ Zhe wei sushi you siwang yuanwang ma? Ta shish dui ta da han “ [Does this lady have a death wish? She just yelled at him.]

The man with black hair and brown eyes whispers at each other in chinese.

“ Xiuxi ixia ta bu renshi women “ [Give her a break. She doesn’t know us]

Another man with black hair and blue eyes whispers back in chinese.

“ Zhen de. Women sushi lai shell dousing de. Women zhengzai xunzhao mou ren “ [True. We aren’t here to horse around. We are looking for someone.]

Another man with black hair and green eyes says in a whisper tone in Chinese to them.

The whisper continues back and forth.

The girl that was with him approached him gently. She laid her hands on top of his wrist.

“ Fangxia na wei sushi. Ta bu zhidao “ [Put the lady down. She doesn’t know]

The boy looked at her. He sighs. He cursed under his breath. He tightened his grip on her neck. The lady didn’t utter a word. She doesn’t want to lose her voice. She stopped struggling.

“ Zai pangbian, women zai zheli zhaodao ta. Bushi ma “ [Beside, we are here to find her. Are we not?] The girl slowly spoke to the boy.

The boy glanced at her from the side. He didn’t let her go.

“ Nin queuing women hui mai zheli zhaodao ta ma? “ [Are you sure that we would find her here?] He breathed in and out looking at the girl.

The girl sighs. She shakes her head saying ‘ no ‘ to him. She lifted her head. And she stared at his eyes.

“ Wo bueng shuo. Danshi, zhe shi qijin weizhi women jin you de xiansuo “ [I cannot say. But, this is the only lead we have so far.] The girl says after she sighs.

After a few minutes, the boy sighs. He looked at her. And she looked at him. They both nodded in agreement again. He looked at the lady with his hands. He felt disgusted. He threw the lady hard with strong force. She fell on the ground. She thought she broke her neck. But, she didn’t. The men whisper to each other. They did laugh. It was a quiet laugh in their parts. The staff was scared. Their faces were pale like they had seen a ghost. The blood was drained from their face. 

“ Ta choulou you ang zang. Zhihou, wo xuyao xishou “ [She’s ugly and dirty. I need to wash my hands after this.] He just scowled at her. He placed his right hand over his heart. He did this to calm himself down.

…. Meanwhile …

There was a deep forest outside the orphanage. It appeared out of nowhere. The little girl was at the center of the forest. The wind carried her there. She walked endlessly following the sound of the cries. As she walks and walks, the clouds have become thicker.  As it is, the girl walked further. The cries became louder. The girl was standing in front of the tree. She sighs. She was awed at the beauty around her. She didn’t understand why she was here. The wind welcomed her again. 

It was pushing her to come closer. She walked towards the tree. She places her hand on the tree with her hands. She felt pain in her heart. The tree is hurt. She felt sad. She closed her eyes. She wraps her arms around the tree. It was giving the tree a hug. She whispers words to the tree to calm down. The tree leaves fell on her hand. It was showing her where it was hurt. She walked around the tree. She saw a tree branch broken. A tear dropped as she was saddened to see it. 

The night wasn’t eerie. But the moon was up in the sky. The sky wasn’t covered. The moon shines the tree with its light onto it. She closed her eyes. She raises her hands on the broken branch. She whispers words after words. The tree stopped crying. It felt a soothing white light. The tree was happy. It didn’t feel pain anymore. She opened her eyes. She smiles. Petals from the trees flutter towards her as a thank you. She walked away from the tree. She stands close to watch the scenery. 

Without her knowledge, seven little boys walked and appeared where she was. They were awed at the beautiful scenery before them. They saw a beautiful girl there. They came closer. And they suspect it was a three-year-old kid. They watched her from the shadows behind the other trees. It was as if the little girl was a fairy angel dancing. She stopped moving around. She prayed under the tree as the moon and sky was the witness. The seven little boys stayed quiet. 

They also prayed too. They prayed that they would meet the little girl once more. The girl was humming a song. She walked closer to the tree once more. She leaned her forehead. Where her forehead was touching the tree. In the distance where the little boys were, they thought they saw angel wings from her back. As they rubbed their eyes, they went back to stare at the little girl. But, when they went back to watching; she disappeared from their sight. The boys came closer to where she used to be. 

They were wearing strange clothing. The people were calling for them. Their servant was looking for them. They found the little boys. They walk out of the forest. The little boys took one more glance to the trees. They want to see if the little girl drops anything she left behind. But, there wasn’t.

“ Did you have fun ? “

The boys shake their heads up and down saying ‘ yes ‘ to their servants.

“ Did you find something you like ? “

The servants could see these boys and saw magnificent scenery.

They went back home to their family. The light that took her away brought her to the lake. The lake was majestic. It was like something was pulling her there. A beautiful woman appeared at the center of the lake. She was really beautiful. She resembles that of the moon goddess.

“ Soon my child, everything will be okay “.

“ The darkness will not win this time “.

“ You must find your destined mates “.

“ They are the only ones who will protect you from danger “.

“ Soon, when you find them, a part of you will awaken.

“ You must learn to control them “ .

“ You must have a strong mind, a strong body, a strong soul and a strong heart “.

“ Everyone will need you my child “

“ You are not alone “.

“ You will be protected by me “.

“ I’ll always watch you “

“ Let the moon guide you, protect you and watch you “.

“ I have to do this for my child. This is the only way it would protect you “.

“ Soon you will understand “.

After the beautiful woman spoke to her, she kneeled down. She rubs her head back and forth. Not until she blessed her with her holy powers. The girl wasn’t alone. Other goddess saw her too. They bless her with their holy powers. It was the only way to protect her from danger. The goddess knew the little girl would be the salvation of their people. They hoped all supernatural beings would work together as one. She did indeed have a rare ability. An ability that allowed her to enter the world of any book.

After a while, the beautiful woman disappeared once she gave her their gifts. Another flash of light engulfed the girl. it envelops her whole body. It takes her to another place. It takes her to the human world. The little girl was standing in the cemetery. She watches others. She saw people burying them on the ground. They were crying. She attracts ghosts everywhere. There are lingering ghosts who have regrets. They couldn’t move on. The ghost was friendly. 

They didn’t possess the girl. She felt sad for them. She offered the ghost to reside within her. So, then the people won’t scare them away. The ones the ghosts were afraid of are ‘ exorcists ‘ or what humans call ‘ ghostbusters ‘ . She wanders on her own. She wasn’t alone. Her animals were with her. But, no humans could see it. She hasn’t aged at all. She was still a three-year-old kid.

… MEANWHILE …

SMILE ORPHANAGE

The mysterious group of people were at the orphanage. The boy felt a strange occurrence. He could feel the air have changed. He looked at his people. He shakes his head in displeasure. He sighs.

“ Women zou ba. Ta buzai zheli “ [Let’s go. She’s not here] The boy sighs. He could feel the change in the air.

The servants came back. The little boys were in their human form. They didn’t show their true self.  The seven boys approach the man. They stared at him. They both nodded at each other. They all left at once. Everyone left. The servant has left. Except for the little boy’s bodyguards. 

“ Shaohui qu’er yuan. Buyao rang rente rien huozhe “ [Burn the orphanage. Leave no human alive.] One of the boys with platinum blonde hair and icy blue eyes orders their bodyguards.

Their bodyguards nodded. They started right away.

“ Youren jiang zhege kebei de gu’er yuan gaozhi zhenzheng de zhuren. Tamen bu zat xuyaole “ [Someone informed the real owner of this pathetic orphanage. They are not needed anymore]. Another boy with orange hair and emerald green eyes orders one of their bodyguards.

Their bodyguards nodded. There were smiles around their faces. They enjoyed it. They like to hear these humans squirm. Their terror and them being afraid is their only excitement.

“ Quebao nin meiyou liu xia renhe women zuoguo de henji. Ye buyao liu xia renhe zhengju zhengming women zai zheli. Lijie ? “ [Make sure you don’t leave any trace that we did it. And leave no evidence that we are here do you understand ?] said another boy who had black hair and brown eyes as his eyes turned red as he had the scent of human blood filling the air.

These seven boys were at human mercy. They would instantly kill anyone at sight. Especially when it comes to the little girl’s well being. Afterwards, they went back home to their family. When they came back, their families were under attack. Each family of the seven boys send them to the human world. A place that would eventually keep them safe. They send them to a house that was run down by one of their trusted friends. Their protectors were there with the boys.

They went down to the human world. They all learned how to mask their scent. Since, their parents teach them how. The seven boys will now have to learn how to live as a ‘ normal ‘ human. A strange light surrounded the seven little boys. No matter what danger ahead, they would always be protected. It was as if there was a magnetic force. Like an invisible barrier. Their families send them to their uncle. Hoping that they would raise them as their own son. Later when they grow up, they have to go back to their home. 

They would be too young to be a leader. They were in the airplane heading to their destination. On the other side of the world, a little girl appeared in a house. It was a beautiful house. It was as if the light guided her there. As the light shone, two married couples who couldn’t have their own children appeared.
