Ed nodded. We moved our heads closer to Albert.
"And I am doing all these because I am protecting Selene from something?" Albert tried to confirm if he heard it right.
We nodded all together.
"And... you think no one has to know what's gonna happen next?" He whispered.
Our eyes widen as we wait for the next words he will say, but he burst into laughter. He pulled the chair beside me and sat down.
"What are you trying to say?" said Albert, as he propped his elbow on the table and stared at us. "Oh, come on, I just wanted to enjoy my birthday with you. You know I never enjoy parties like that. I could hardly breathe wearing layers of clothes, and you should know that girls."
