I have no idea why I'm crying in a stranger's arms that I'm supposed to be arresting if not killing. And funnily, it feels soothing and very calm. Crying in his arms makes me feel like things aren't that bad after all. It makes me feel like I can make through this, because he is here. I'm wetting his T-shirt with my tears but I really don't care and he doesn't seem to mind. I pull out of the hug and take a step back. "I have to go." "Hey." He moves his hand over my cheek and wipes off the tears with his thumb. He moves closer and grabs my face with both his hands. "You don't have to, stay here, I don't promise to help you feel better, but I can give you a shoulder to cry on." I find myself smiling when he says that. He holds my hand and leads me back to the couch and makes me sit.
