Chapter 3 mysterious letter

They walked all over camp just to find atleast one activity they both like. It sounded easy but it's easy said then done.

"How about canoeing?" Alexa suggested. "I get sea sick sometimes. Xena said. This was the third activity in the last two hours. " here let's try gardening."

"I don't wanna get my hands dirty." Unbelievable, how were they gonna fine an activity like this.

They basically walked around camp for two hours looking at all the clubs and games. They played some of the two people games but failed terribly.

everytime Xena touched Alexa, she would scream "ugh, get off me loser you're so sticky" or "do I look like a pillar to you."

At the end they just went to their room, got on their beds and waited to lose the first task. Alexa decided to listen to some music with her headphones. but she had this problem. She can never hear a song she knows without singing loudly. She loved music since she was young and her mom even put her in music school because she said Alexa has a gifted voice.

"You've broken down and tire... Of living life on a mary-go-round." Alexa started to sing. But she didn't get far in the song when Xena pulled out her headphone.

"Hey, can't you hear me you're singing too loudly." She said. When people hear Alexa's beautiful singing, they compliment her but Xena couldn't care less about that.

"Is that Andra Day, rise up. I love that song." Xena said. Was she serious.

"Me too." Alexa excitingly said.

"Wanna join me." Xena hesitated for a moment but then she agreed.

They both started to sing. And Xena's voice was just as good as Alexa's.

"You have a beautiful voice." Alexa complicated her. "you too." Xena smiled.

They listened to some to Alexa's playlist. Before looking at the time. "it's almost six and the flag will soon set." Xena said. "We still have an hour left, we'll think of something." Alexa said. There was an akward silence.

The silence was finally broken when Alexa spoke. "Why are you so nice to everyone but treat me like your worst enemy?" This was something Alexa has been wanting to ask since a long time ago. Xena looked at Alexa in surprised but then she smiled. Alexa was speechless. Is Xena even capable of smile, guess so.

"You're not my enemy but you just happened to exist."

"..." Alexa was speechless and was about to tell her off but Xena spoke first. "hey I have an idea for our task. What if we sing." She said.

"You want us to sing."

"Yeah I mean we both have the same music taste and you have a great voice."

"Aw. Thank you-"

"That was a compliment." Alexa smile fell the instant. "but it could be..." Alexa didn't even have time to process what Xena said.

"So are you in?" Xena pulled Alexa back from her thoughts.

"Yeah, I'll bring my guitar, I can play a song and we both duo the song" I suggested.

" You play the guitar? " She asked looking surprised. " I took up classes last summer. " Alexa said. 'why didn't I know of that. ' were the thought that ran throw Xena's head.

Alexa and Xena were sitting by the flag pole waiting for the administrators to set it down. Miss Wilton was surprised to see them there sitting quietly and not throwing their shoe at each other.

Alexa haven't seen cherry anyway the whole day ever since she heard that her roommate was Amber.

Amber was an athletic kind of girl and Xena's best friend. This was practically a best friend switch.

"Girls it's so nice to see you getting along and looks like you both will be the first winners this year. Well and hour early winners I guess." Miss Wilton said as she looked at her watch.

"Turns out Xena and I do have something in common and we can't wait to show you." Alexa told her.

"Well I can't wait to see it." Miss Wilton went to her office. There was still an hour until the flag sets. "Where do you think Amber and Cherry went?" Alexa asked after a long silence.

" Amber said they went to the mall a few blocks from here."

" When do you think they'll be back?"

" I don't know, maybe when the flag sets."

An hour later

After waiting and talking about random stuff, it was finally time to set the flag.

The people passing by were shocked and surprised to see Alexa and Xena sitting there talking, it was truly a miracle.

I mean, Alexa and Xena getting along? It's like looking at a cat and dog having s*x.

"Alright now gather around campers, it's time." Miss Wilton said when the man whose name was actually John let down the flag.

"So the first two people to reach the flag today are Alexa and Xena, who've been sitting here for over an hour."

She said the last part a little low.

"So can you girls tell us what you both have in common."

" We both like music and turns out that we have the same taste too." Alexa explained to everyone.

" So are you both gonna play us a song." They both nodded. " And what song will you play for us.

"It's called, somebody to you by the vamps and Demi lovato." Xena said.

Then Alexa sat on the edge of the low parapet with her guitar and start playing.

"I used to wanna be... living like there's only me, but now I spent my time think bout a way to get you off my mind." She began to sing. Everyone was in aw at how beautiful she sang.

"I use to be so tough... I didn't really give enough, but then you caught my eye giving me the feeling of a lightning strike." Xena joined her.

Everyone loved the way they sang even miss Wilton and the other administrators who attended.

" Everybody's tryin to be a billionaire but everytime I look at you I just don't care cause all I wanna be all I ever wanna be yeah, yeah is somebody to you."

When they finished the song everyone give them a standing novation.

"Wow that was outstanding. would you girls like to sing for us around the bond fire tonight." Miss Wilton said and everyone clapped again.

Xena was about to declined but Alexa instantly said yes.

They did sang around the bond fire and had a lot of fun. Even Xena, who wanted to declined.

When they were heading to their room, Alexa noticed something by the cabinet door. She came closer and pulled something that was half buried in the dirt. She took it out and omg it was a letter.

It had something written at the back. 'To Alexa, the only girl who can help me' Alex read it in her head.

What, to Alexa? Who needed her help? What was this letter about?

So many thoughts ran through her head and she was so confused.

"Alexa is this your smelly shoes by my bed!" Xena yelled from inside when Alexa was about to opened the letter. "Stop yelling I'm coming!" Alexa yelled back.

'should I tell Xena or Cherry...um better wait a bit.' Alexa thought.

She was hoping that she was not too late to help... Whoever needed help.
