Chapter 9 Jake the Jerk

Alexa found Jake sitting with some of his friends at the fields. "Babe." Jake said as he approached Alexa. "Jake, What the hell are you doing tell everyone that I'm your girlfriend." Alexa was not happy about this at all. "Aren't we dating." Why was he such a jerk about everything. "Remember that I know that little secret of yours and I can tell everyone." Alexa looked like she saw a ghost.

That's why she never told anyone that what Jake said about them dating was a lie, because he knew her biggest secret.

She remembered telling Cherry in the classroom when she thought no one was there but Jake secretly followed them to hear their little conversation and now he was blackmailing her.

"Jake pls, can you just leave me alone. This has gone on for so long now why are you so obsessed with it."

"Because I can't stand you being with other boy." He gives a nasty smirk. "I always get the girls I want and I want you and you know why."

The girl shook her head. "Because you're the prettiest girl in school and you've never had a boyfriend." He paused as he looked at the girl's face. "And I'm so glad I'm your very first one." he said as he headed back to his minions of jerks.

Alexa ran to her room and sat on her bed, face in palm as she cried. what was she to do now she can't let people know of her secret.

Just then Xena, Cherry and Amber came in and saw the girl crying on her bed. They instantly went to her side. "Alexa, what's wrong." Cherry was the first to speak as she went to comfort her friend.

Amber too went to her side follow by Xena.

What's wrong. "Cherry, it's Jake." Xena answered for Alexa.

"That Jerk again." I guess everyone knows that he was a jerk. Jake the jerk, kinda suits him.

"What did he tell you to make you like this?" Amber asked when she already knew the answer. Alexa finally looked up at them wiping away her tears. "It's nothing, he's just a stupid boy who doesn't deserve attention." Alexa suddenly stood up returning to her normal self like nothing happened. "Hey don't you wanna hear what happened in the library today?" They all suddenly forgot about Alexa crying earlier or maybe they just didn't want to remind her.

Xena too was excited to tell the girls. She and Alexa told them everything and they could see Amber and Cherry's shocked faces. "Okay we have to see that place for reals." Amber said. They didn't tell about Xavier.

"Alexa, we still need to know what Jake told you." Amber said. She seem to cared about Alexa and she was not at all like Alexa thought. Hearing Amber remind her of the stupid boy she felt her heart race. "Why don't you guys tell us about your task?" Xena tried to divert their attention. Cherry was more then happy to tell them about their shopping trip.

"And when we went there they said they didn't have the same shoes." Cherry began to tell the crazy story of how the shoes she wanted was sold out. "Cherry really threw a tantrum for those shoes." Amber giggle remember their trip. "So now we're gonna tell everyone that story when we be first today. completing tasks is really fun you know." Cherry said.

"Well, we went on an adventure but too bad we can't tell everyone." Alexa said. "It was still an adventure though." Xena said.

Amber and Cherry won the task of the day and they both were over the moon with joy.

Everyone wanted Xena and Alexa to sing at the bond fire again and this time they sang

call on me by Starley. it was such a beautiful song. and as a bonus Alexa even told them the story from the library minus the crazy part.

Everyone thought she told a wonderful story and loved the way she tells it. When she was done with the story everyone clapped and someone from the crowd shouted...

"That's my girlfriend." You don't have to be a genius to tell that it was Jake.

Everyone looked at him with annoyed looks. some of them giving Alexa the 'how can you date this guy' kinda look but she just avoid their gaze.

For the rest of the night Everyone laugh and talked. Jake came to sit next to Alexa with that stupid smirk on his face but Xena sat at her left and Cherry at her right with no room to sit next to Alexa he sat next to Xena instead.

Unknown to them, an angry Xavier was staring at Jake with killer eyes.

It was only the campers having a good time with the adults working or sleeping.

Unknown to Alexa, she had finally gotten rid of her fear of new faces as she was talking to her friends.

finally it was time for them to go to their rooms. They had to cut their fun twenty minutes short because a storm was on the way. Everyone was heading to their rooms so was Alexa and Xena When Alexa remember that she left her favorite guitar pick back at the bond.

"Xena, you can go on I think I left my pick at the bond fire."

"I'll help you look for it-"

"no need, it won't take long." Alexa didn't wait for a response as she headed back to the bond fire. She was busy looking for her pick when a thunder boomed from the dark clouds in the sky and then it started to rain heavy. she couldn't see the road anymore because it was dark and rainy.

Seriously why now. how was she to get back to her cabin. Without thinking, she ran to the nearest cabin to shelter from the rain and he was gonna explained to whoever was inside.

"And what are you doing here at this time of the night." It was a male voice. Alexa sharply turn to see... Xavier?

She didn't see anyone else in the cabin. was she alone in a cabin with her crush?
