Chapter 10

860 Words
When she woke up the next day, Ethan was no longer beside her. Instead of going down, she went to the terrace. From there, she saw her mother and Ethan as he lifted Arabela. She felt her heart pound at the thought. She seemed surprised to see Ethan's behavior. He smiled at her and waved slightly.  She didn't know what to do, so she turns around and goes downstairs. Ethan chased after her. "Bela, wait!"  She stopped walking and waited for the man to approach. He immediately greeted her with a kiss on the lips. "Aren't you drank anymore?" she asked him. The man smiled sympathetically. "Are you going to have breakfast?"  She nodded. She had the urge to invite and tell him to go together, but shame preceded her.  But the man seems to have picked up what she wanted to do. "Let's go together!" I'm really waiting for you to wake up."  "All right." He grabbed her with one hand, and they descended. "Bela, in a week there will be a festival here with us," her mother said."Your father and I thought, why don't you baptize our granddaughter here." "I was planning to do that too," she replied. "Oh, then there's a big party here at home." there was a hint of happiness on her brother's face. "Of course, and we can be proud of our granddaughter," said her mother, who smiled at them and Ethan. After breakfast, she called Marge and told her friend that she was going to baptize the child again and that she had to be there that day. She had already told her about Ethan.  It thrilled Marge what she found out and seemed to be excited to go to Baguio right away to meet the man.  When she arrived with her sister from the grocery store they have seen Imee, the daughter of Mr. Delfin, and a Japayuki too.  Bela frowned as she looked at her. "What is she doing here?" whispering, she asked Alma. "I don't know," her sister shrugged. Bela turns when Ethan comes near them. He's wearing a pair of walking shorts and a casual shirt. Still smiling, he approached Imee. "Come on," he said but when Ethan saw her, he smiled immediately. "Honey, you're already here," he greeted her who came closer and kissed her on the cheek.  As the days went by, she got used to that kiss from Ethan so she didn't mind that much. "Are you leaving?" she asked as her gaze flew to Imee's who is also staring at them. "Father said she come to fetch me up. He was with Mr. Delfin and had a drink," he said, holding her on her shoulders. Bela shifted her gaze to Ethan."Don't get too drunk with Father. Go home right away," she told him. "Don't worry honey," he replied and grinned. "Wait for me. Don't sleep okay," and he kissed her again and this time it was on the lips. The man leaves with Imee. She followed the two with her gaze and didn't know why she was feeling pain in her chest. When Ethan left, it was only then that Bela seemed to come to her senses. "I'm so sure sister, why that Imee came here with Brother Ethan because she had a crush on your husband." I know that woman's style. Bela looked at her sister Alma. "Earlier her eyes almost popped out with envy when brother Ethan kissed you. "There was a throbbing in her chest. "Never mind," she said. "Oh my sister, even with a wife, that Imee beats up," Alma whispered, obviously annoyed. Bela was stunned. Did she feel a twinge at the thought that Ethan would beat Imee? He's a womanizer ... she remembers when her aunt told her that. So what now if he is a womanizer? Cry of her mind. Even if he's a womanizer, I don't have to care because we don't have a relationship anymore. "Sister," Alma whispered to Bela without her answering. "Don't worry. Let's fetch father and brother Ethan to Mr. Delfin's house later to make that Imee even more jealous." Her sister suggests. Bela just nodded to her sister. After a while. they were in front of Mr. Delfin's house but she was hesitant to enter. She was shy, but it's already late at night and her father and Ethan were not at home yet. Maybe, they enjoyed drinking, her mother said.  She had no intention of joining her siblings to fetch them but then they forced her so that their father would come immediately and not stay. "Sister, let us go inside," her sister Alma said. " What if we just leave them alone," she hesitated.  Her brother scratched his head. "Oh, definitely father not coming with me," he said. "Come on," Alma insisted to her.  "So we can see how Imee flirted inside." Bela could do nothing when Alma pulled her into the yard of Mr. Delfin. They had seen her father and his companions having a drink.  In a corner, Ethan was also there talking to Imee and some of the girl's friends, probably. They also drink and having fun.
