Manila International Airport
"Bela!"
She glanced at the caller. Marge approached her with a smile. The friend's face showed the pleasure of seeing her. When she got close to her, they hugged tightly. They have not seen each other for over two years, since she went to America. She was her classmate and best friend in College. Like her, she is also a nurse but did not go abroad because after they graduated; she got married right away.
"You b***h, you are more beautiful now," her friend said after they hugged and stared at her. During the times she was abroad, she did not hinder their communication. More than anyone else, she knows everything that happened to her.
"I thought you were not coming," she said simply, tears welling up in the corner of her eye.
"There is much traffic today here in the Philippines and why can I not come, even if they will block me with a spear," she said gladly, which she holds back her tears. Then she looked at her child, who was sleeping soundly in the stroller.
"Is she my godchild?" she glanced at her again. Bela nodded and even though the child was still asleep, she picked it up and handed it to her friend.
"She's a beautiful child, she inherited from her godmother," Marge said happily, kissing the child enough to wake her up.
Even though Bela was in America, she still took her best friend as godmother.
The child sobbed when she looked at Marge. She did not recognize her. Marge immediately handed the child to her.
"Geez, I guess I scared her," Marge said with a smile.
"Perhaps, only now that she saw you," she said, kissing her daughter on the forehead.
"Oh, come on," Marge invites her as she watched the Crosswind park opposite them.
"There's Tony," she said, referring to her husband.
When Tony got out of the car, he happily kissed Bella on the cheek. "Welcome Back!"
"Come on, while there's no traffic yet," said Marge and it was she who pushed her daughter's stroller while she was still carrying the child.
Tony carried her luggage to the Crosswind.
"So, are you going to stay here for good?" Marge asked as they got on board and sit beside her in the middle seat.
"That is my plan. I want Arabella to grow up here in the Philippines," she replied while hugging her child and feeding her in a bottle.
Marge nodded and gently stroked the baby's little hand. "Did they know you were coming today?"
"No, but I said I would go home anytime."
"Have you told them about Jeff, Arabella, and?.."
"They knew I am married, and that I was pregnant with Arabella ... that's all I said." There was sadness in her eyes.
"They did not know why I was coming home ... I did not inform them that my husband had died."
Marge looked at her. Her eyes asked.
"Because my mother just came out of the hospital and I don't want her to worry about me. And then as much as possible I avoid talking about Jeff. They know nothing about my husband."
Marge just nodded, saying no word.
Bela looked at the child, who had fallen asleep on her lap again. There was still sadness in her eyes, and there was a smile on the lips as she gently kissed it on the head.
When they arrived at Marge's house, her friend told her to rest first. She wanted to sleep while the child was sleeping, but even though she was tired from the long trip, she could not close her eyes.
She leaned over to lie down and stared at the child who was in bed and sound asleep. Her daughter is exquisite. It looks like a little angel. It got its sharp nose and puffy eyes from its father. It is undeniable that it has a foreign race.
During the time she was in America, only her daughter could give her bliss. Whatever luxury she gained was nothing more than the happiness she felt when she gave birth to her Arabella.
She remembered her husband. Jeff was very kind to her. From the very moment, he found her until he died; it helped her a lot. It gave her a job and married her to legally live in America. And since becoming Mrs. Jeff Miller, she was respected and she met high-ranking people connected to her husband.
Even though she was only with Jeff for a while, he became a big part of her life and that of her child.
It bequeathed almost half of the assets and shares in some American companies by Jeff Miller to Arabella and the remaining half they will share his son with her first Filipina wife as well.
She thought there would be no problem with Jeff's wealth because everything was legal, but she did not expect and be surprised the first time he met Jeff's son Ethan Jeff Cruz Miller.
He accused her of being a user and had no right to any wealth left by his father. She was afraid of what the man might do, especially that his looks expressed anger. She was scared. Not for herself, but for her daughter.
She did not want to disturb Arabella's life so she immediately returned to the Philippines. She wiped the tears from her eyes. As much as possible she does not want to think about the problems first. She has taken the child away .... away from Ethan Jeff Cruz Miller
