Aria’s POV
There was silence throughout the world. My heart continued to pound in my chest from the instant before everything went black, and the air was still heavy with the pungent, acrid smell of smoke. I didn't know how much time had gone by or where I was. There was just quiet, a feeling that something was changing, something inside of me.
The stillness was abruptly shattered.
A voice resonated in my thoughts, gentle and ghostly, like a whisper on the wind. "Aria..."
