It was the most oppressive tension I had ever experienced in the vast hall of the Moonshine Pack. Around me, conversations were humming, but I was only focused on Aria. She stood close to the glass, peering out into space as if she were looking for something beyond the boundaries of the pack.
That expression seemed familiar to me. It was more than simply uncertainty; it was the burden of an unsaid force that, if she let it, might bring her to her knees.
