Gabriel helps me move back to his, not that I have much to pack. Anna seems ecstatic that I’m giving him a chance to work things out.
He’s true to his word and he moves into the spare room as soon as we get back. He gives me space, but makes sure I have everything I need. He cooks for me and stays home more, he even tells me about where he’s going for work.
He still hasn’t told me much about what I found in his apartment, but he does admit that some of the people he protects are not the kind of people you want to get on the wrong side of. It’s a start at least.
