The rest of the week is much less eventful, I have college days and work shifts and each day is brightened by texts from Gabriel. He’s funny and sweet and clearly adores me for some unknown reason. We haven’t even had our first date yet and I’m getting smitten.
On Friday I finish college and walk home with an extra spring in my step. I took extra care getting ready this morning so I know my hair looks good and I’ve applied my makeup carefully. I chose my light blue tight jeans, which Amy said show off my ass and a white halter neck top which shows a hint of my flat tummy.
As I’m walking in the sunshine feeling truly happy for the first time in ages, I see him. He has dark blue jeans and a tight white t-shirt paired with black boots and sunglasses. He’s hard to miss to be fair, but what is harder to miss is the car he’s leaning on.
I’m trying to look casual, but my jaw drops. It’s a deep red Aston Martin DBS. It’s an absolute beast and I wonder how the hell he can afford such a car.
“Hi beautiful,” he says and his face lights up.
He throws his arms open and I walk into them. He hugs me tight and I feel like I have forgotten how to breathe. The hug isn’t tight, it’s just his presence is affecting me so much. He smells amazing and when I finally remember how to breathe, his intoxicating scent fills my nose.
After dropping my bag off at home we get back in the car. He holds my door open as I climb in. The seat moulds to my body and as I’m putting my seatbelt on I notice every part of this car screams luxury. I’m still admiring it when he slides in beside me.
The car engine roars to life and we set off.
“Where are we going?” I enquire curiously.
“You’ll see,” he replies mysteriously, reaching for my hand and taking it in his. I feel the heat growing between us, there is definitely some s****l tension building and it scares me a little because I’ve only ever been with one guy and he was as inexperienced as me, despite what his ego told him. I am with a grown man now and it makes me very nervous when I imagine us heading in that direction. What if I’m a disappointment?
20 mins later we arrive at a park. He parks his huge car easily in a small space and gets out. He tells me to wait and he comes round and opens my door. It’s a small gesture, but no one has ever done that for me before and I feel like royalty.
He takes my hand and leads me through the gate and into the large park. The sun is hot, but the temperature is bearable so we walk in the shade. He steers me off the path to a side garden. It has a sign on the front that says ‘Rose Garden’ and we enter.
It’s the most stunningly beautiful place I’ve ever seen! It is filled with fragrant roses of every colour and in a clearing is an open space with a picnic blanket and basket. I assume we have company when I see it and a slight pang of disappointment runs through me.
To my surprise though, Gabriel wraps his arm around my waist and leads me straight to the blanket and invites me to sit down.
“How... when... I...” I’m lost for words and I don’t quite know how to word the question.
“I had Ford set it up while I picked you up. He’s gone now, but he’ll be back to clear up later.”
“Ford?”
“He works for me and is a good friend too.” He explains.
He reaches into the basket and pulls out a small bottle of champagne and two glasses. He pops the cork and pours without spilling a drop. He hands me a glass and raises his, “to us and many more days like this.”
“To us,” I clink my glass against his.
He has brought a whole tapas bar with him and I eat a bit of everything. The Spanish omelette is the best I’ve ever had and he somehow seemed to know I was a vegetarian. He’s clearly done his research (AKA asked Amy). The food is delicious and perfect for a picnic.
After we are stuffed full of food he lies back on the blanket and pulls me onto his ridiculously hard chest. He wraps his arms around me and I feel like I’m safe from anything and everything. The world couldn’t touch me in his strong arms. He seems the right combination of strong and fierce, but also kind and caring. He’s just perfect.
I take several deep breaths letting the feeling of total contentment wash through me. The sun is shining on me, his strong arms are holding me, his scent is soothing and there is honestly nowhere else I’d rather be. I want to pause this moment forever.
“Look at that cloud!” he says finally breaking the silence. “It looks like a dog!” He bursts out laughing.
I follow where he is pointing and I see it. “Oh yeah, there’s its head and ear and neck.” I giggle.
“You have the cutest laugh” he says turning his head to plant a kiss on my forehead and sniff my hair.
I look up at him and I get locked into his hypnotic hazel eyes. There is a pause where I’m staring and I can’t move. I don’t know what will happen next, but I know I’m no longer in control. My heart is racing, but it feels like time has slowed down and everything is in slow motion.
He leans forward, lowering me down onto the blanket as he goes and is hovering over the top of me just inches away from my face.
He runs a hand through my hair, pushing it out of my face then slowly strokes that hand down the side of my cheek.
My whole body feels on fire and my breath has quickened. My heartbeat is loud in my ears as I feel him close the gap further and his lips finally reach mine.
I feel him breathe me in as his mouth moves against mine. He gently wraps an arm underneath me so his whole body is enveloping mine and then deepens the kiss, pushing his tongue into my mouth.
He is an unbelievable kisser, I didn’t really know what a good or bad kiss was since I’ve only ever kissed two boys before, but this was on another level completely. I relax into it and kiss him back with more intensity, giving into the fire raging through me and giving him all I have in me.
It is passionate and hot and the rest of the world has disappeared. There is only me and Gabriel and this kiss.
