CHAPTER FIVE Tyla's POV A few hours later... I felt the wave of nostalgia hit me, as we stepped into my pack. During the few weeks that I had been away, there were no major changes, mere desolated houses. It was obvious he had done more damage than even good things in the pack and the thought of my pack members suffering made me angry. By the time we arrived at my pack mansion, everything had changed in front of my sight. There were no soldiers by the gates and I noticed more dilapidated parts in the furniture. Jonathan had only damaged my hard work for his self-centeredness. As we approached the entrance of the mansion, my eyes landed on Jay my Betta, and the one who had betrayed me. It was weird to think that I trusted him with everything for him to betray me. "Welcome Alpha, I trust your trip went really well?" He said with a smile and his eyes landed on me. His stare lingered for a while, I could tell he had seen something familiar about me, judging from his reaction. "Where is Jessica?" He asked. "She is in the living room." Who is Jessica? I asked myself as we stepped inside the living room. My eyes landed on a young maiden who appeared to be nervously staring down at the ground, the moment we entered. "Welcome back Alpha." I could detect the anxiety in her voice. She seemed to be scared of Jonathan. "I have told you every time Jessica, I am your husband and you regard me as that title." "Husband? What are you talking about?" I could not hold it anymore. "It appears the princess needs to be told how things are run in my pack," he said with a smirk and gently held my shoulders, squeezing them, while his stare lingered on me. "Well, I lied to your father. I already have a wife and the only reason I got married to you is because I know that my bloodline will be the next in line to become Alpha Kings." "So you tricked my father? You lied to him like you have always been doing your whole life...." I wish I could swallow my words immediately when I noticed his eyes darkened. "Listen here Annie, your father told me that you are a very stubborn young maiden. Take a look at that woman over there..." He pointed to Jessica, and U quickly turned to face her. I noticed she was biting off her nails aggressively. "...that woman was very stubborn and guess what I did to her?" My eyes widened and as I looked closer around her neck to saw bruises. "You monster!" "I get that and I am not surprised because everyone tends not to understand that I am trying to be on my best behavior, but everyone keeps making me angry." He grabbed my chin and I struggled in between his grip. "I have done it to one, don't let me do the same to you!" He let go of my chin and Jay yanked my hands, forcefully pushing me through the stairs till we got to one of the. He pushed me inside the room and locked the door behind him while staring at me lustfully. "I am even happy to see the Alpha doesn't require much of your services, other than giving him kids." I took steps backward, as he took menacing steps forward. "I...I don't understand what you are talking about?" I tripped and fell to the bed and I looked up to see him all over me. "I could take you right now, but it will be too early. I will wait for the Alpha to have his share, and the rest will be mine." I was disgusted by his utter perverted behavior as he smiled mischievously at me before getting out of the room. I should have known the marriage was a lie. How could I have trusted Jonathan to keep to his ends of the marriage? I consented to the marriage because I wanted to have my revenge, and now I am being manhandled, even as his bride. *** Later that evening, I had changed into my nightgown and was hungry. No one entered the room all through the day and now I know I needed to make something to eat. I remembered the details of my mansion, even in my second life and while I was close to the kitchen, I heard screams coming from the hallway and I was disturbed. These were the screams of a woman in pain and I knew she needed to help. I dashed into the hallway, locating the room where the screams came from. I break through into the room and find Jonathan beating up Jessica. I jumped on his back trying to tackle him to the floor, but was sent flying to the ground. I groaned in pain, as I favored my back. "Tsk, tsk, tsk." I looked up from the floor to see him shake his head in disappointment. "So you think you can save her huh? You should have stayed away and minded your business, but I guess you are like your father." He yanked my hair and dragged me through the room, I struggled and screamed to be let go. "I am going to teach you what respect means," he threatened. I screamed in pain as his hands connected to my rib section. "I don't like it when people don't follow my instructions." He connected his fist to my jaw and I could swear I had lost a tooth or two. "Please!" I begged through the pain. I hated the reality of the body I had found myself in. This new body was too weak to fight back. Jonathan was no match for my strength in my first life, now I had to play second fiddle to him. "The next time I see you interfere in my business, I will break your bones and feed them to my dogs!" I realized it was not Jonathan speaking but his wolf. I looked back at Jessica. She was seated in a corner of the room, with her hands wrapped around her body as she sobbed. I realize this was the pain she had been going through at the hands of this monster, who knows for how long now. I was dumbfounded and in pain, but I had to do something.
