Chapter ElevenPain was the first thing that Seth was aware of as fingers of agony danced up his leg. He groaned and a shushing noise tickled his ear as a cool hand rested against his forehead. ‘You’ve fractured your leg and sustained a rather vicious knock to your head. I have some painkillers here for you. They’re not as strong as we’d like but it’s better than nothing.’ A cup was pressed to his lip and cool water trickled down his throat, followed by a small pill and another sip of the much-needed water. ‘Where …’ He broke off in a fit of coughs before gasping again as his leg seized up at the sudden motion.
