Chapter 10I sit and hold Finn as he cries for what seems like an eternity. Trying desperately to think of what to say, I remember how he comforted me that night I lost it on the Boardwalk: he simply held me and kept saying I was okay. So I figure something similar. I stroke his hair and whisper onto the top of his head, “It’s going to be all right.” “I really doubt that.” He pries himself from my chest, wipes his eyes, and then looks me in the face. “You really have no clue.” I open my mouth to respond, but he’s right.
