Chapter 12The next day, Liam and I hang out on the beach. We both leave our phones at home, kind of an unspoken agreement that today is about us spending time together. I tell Liam about surfing with Finn, and we laugh as I get to the part about his swimsuit being ripped off me. Then Liam starts to tell me about Melissa. How he knew he liked her from that time we first saw her playing volleyball. And he admits that, yes, he did tell her about Dad’s death and the accident as a way to break the ice.
