Chapter 7Three days later I wake up to heavy drops being driven against the small window in our room. As I stretch, I look over and see that Liam has a pillow over his head. Once again, I got home before he did. Last night Liam and I met Melissa and Finn on the mainland for Chinese. Then Melissa announces she and Liam are meeting Emma and her boyfriend for movie. Liam asked if Finn and I wanted to join, but it felt too much like a double-date to me, making us interlopers. Finn said he knew a cool skate park with lights, and we hung out there watching other kids skate until about midnight. What time Liam got back, I don’t know. And quite frankly, I don’t care anymore.
